Our friend voice messaged us on Whatsapp the previous evening that she wanted to pass something to us. Early yesterday morning, 48th day MCO, we drove out to her stall. Below are some sunrise shots that I took before we drove to her stall.

As far as God is concerned there is a sweet,
wholesome fragrance in our lives.
It is the fragrance of Christ within us,
an aroma to both the saved and unsaved all around us.

DeleteOh, is that the moon in the photo? Thought that it is the sun. Wow, your dinner today is da best! With that sambal petai can eat many bowls of rice but your cabbage cooked with carrot and garlic will help the rice to balance the heavy taste of the sambal petai. So nice of your friend. Did she cook the nasi lemak with prawn sambal? Was the prawn sambal spicy? I love to eat nasi kunyit. Can't remember when I ate that. Wah, so nice no queue. The queues are super long for the supermarkets in malls here so I don't dare to go to the mall yet.
ReplyDeleteThe prawn nasi lemak has to be specially ordered ahead by my friend. To avoid crowd and queue, I choose the time when there will be less people.
DeleteHow do you know what time there will be less people?
DeleteI usually go between 11 am to 2 pm, so far it seems the best time with less crowd. I usually choose weekdays.
DeleteYou have the best eat here, Nancy. Those morning sky shots are just so lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie.

Thank you, Sandee for hosting. Have a wonderful day.
DeleteSambal prawn is really my favourite esp when petai is added together! Yummeh!!
ReplyDeleteSo far I always ate lousy Nasi Kunyit here. The sellers don't know how to cook the rice correctly.
I started looking at our skies here in the morning but no luck. It doesn't look nice like yours. Maybe I should wake up at 5am tomorrow.
I like the nasi kunyit and the chicken curry from this stall. 5am is too early, will be very dark and nothing to see. I usually go out to check around 6.40 am or later to check a few times. Sometimes I get to see beautiful sunrise, sometimes nothing much to see.
DeleteNice to see the sky shots. Delicious looking food.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mamas.
DeleteInteresting how you cut your papaya. I usually cut the papaya in half and scoop up the fruit with a spoon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gigi. It depends on my mood. Sometimes I will cut the papaya in half and eat it with a spoon. Sometimes I will cut in big pieces and sometimes in small pieces.
DeleteYes i can see the sun rays. The chicken curry looks so yummy, i miss eating curry. Wow that dinner is a good balance, spicy petai and light vegetables (cabbages with carrots). Yums!
ReplyDeleteAre you using a wired mouse or wireless one?
Thank you, Libby. I am using a wired mouse. I no longer have any problem after I changed to the new mouse. I have used the old mouse for many years.
DeleteI love all the interesting dishes.I like to learn how to make new things. You are never too old to keep learning. Thanks and have a wonderful week.

DeleteYour photos, food, skies, flowers, interesting finds, no matter what, they make me smile!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mimi.
DeleteYour pink orchids are so pretty! I am inspired by your sambal petai cooked with minced pork. I want too cook it too.
ReplyDeleteI still have some left over sambal petai which I am going to reheat and have it for dinner this evening.
DeleteNice pictures! That lamp (?) is unique!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. I really like the lamp.
DeleteSuch good food!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby likes petai and I saw someone selling. But decided against getting it or the whole house will smell of petai and we have no escape. Hahaha.
You can easily counter the smell by cooking a brinjal dish. Eating the brinjal seems to neutralize the smell of the petai. It works for us.
DeleteWow! I didn't know this. Will try.
DeleteHmm heard but never tried. Must do that one of these days.
DeleteBonito cielo. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
