Chili Pan Mee (Dry Version) & Fried Tom Yam Beehoon

Yesterday, 92nd day MCO
It was a rainy morning, so we didn't go for our morning walk.
About 7:10 am, we were in our car driving out to town with the above stainless steel food carriers to buy breakfast. We had 2 food stalls in mind, either one will do.
The first place we went to, Kedai Kopi YW, was opened for business. We placed our order and the waiting time was not long. Before MCO, the shortest waiting time was 30 minutes.
We bought Chili pan mee (dry version), served with minced meat, wood fungus, mushrooms, crispy fried anchovies and spicy chili oil.
Accompanying the chili pan mee is green veggie in clear soup.
Delicious and satisfying breakfast for 2 people.
From a different stall at the same coffee shop, I bought 2 curry puffs and sponge cake. We ate the curry puffs for our lunch.
I managed to pluck this fig before the birds could get to it.
Even though not fully ripe, it was slightly sweet and nice to eat.

Simple dinner
Out of the blue, I was craving for fried tom yum noodle. I used whatever ingredients I could find in the fridge to cook a big batch of fried tom yum noodle. We ate the 1st half portion for dinner and kept the 2nd half for next day's breakfast.
After dinner, we had Magnum ice cream for dessert.
Something that is sweet and cold to complete our dinner.

The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.

  1. That Magnum ice-cream is so good! Here, I do not know of any food place where we can bring our own containers. But it is a good idea!

  17. I wouldn't normally want to wait very long for food, especially hawker-style. Sit-down meals at restaurants then only expect to wait a while since the food would be more elaborate.
