Early yesterday morning, we went for morning walk. After that, we got ready and waited for our friends. We are going to have dim sum for breakfast at the newly opened Restoran Kok Thai (Ipoh) at 28, Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah (formerly known as Kampar Home Cuisine Restaurant). After scanning the QR code and our temperature, we were led to a table.
We waited for the cart to bring the dim sum to our table.
We started with the above 4 dim sum items.
Steamed fish paste.
Har mai (prawn dumpling).
Siew mai.
Har gao or prawn dumplings.
Crispy fried shrimp rolls with mayonnaise.
Crispy fried taro dumpling or woo kok.
Hong Kong chee cheong fun (steamed flat rice rolls) with prawn filling.
Congee with dried oyster, century egg and salted egg in clay pot. This is enough to fill 5 small bowls.
Last item, something sweet. Glutinous sesame balls.
Promotion: Order 1 pot of tea, free 1 pot of tea.
One pot puer tea, one pot king tea.
Dim sum breakfast for 4 people = RM69.95
(inclusive of 6% service charge)

Amata Huebneri, the wasp moths in my garden.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.
Don't store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and
rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal.
Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy,
and thieves do not break in and steal.
where your treasure is, there is the desires of your heart will also be.

Dimi...
Thank you, DIMI. Stay safe too.
DeleteI still don't dare to dine in at dim sum places. Will wait till year end. So delicious your dim sum. Are there many people eating dim sum?
ReplyDeleteThe restaurants we went to observe the sop of MCO. The tables are placed far apart at a safe distance.
DeleteAt least in Ipoh there are no cases. Today, in brickfields, there are restaurant workers with no symptoms but found to be infected so in KL have to be more careful because it is the workers not other customers so tables placed apart won't help much.
DeleteHopefully the situation stays the same. Hope people will not become complacent and forget to wear mask. Sometimes I too forget so I keep some mask in my bag.
DeleteThe food does look really nice...trust you enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good dim sum breakfast.
DeleteI love all "dim sum," but the most is "Siew mai." ....yummy
ReplyDeleteSiew mai is the most common item.
DeleteThey looked tasty ❤

ReplyDeleteHong Kong has one of the best dim sums.
