Pork Belly Slices With Glutinous Rice Wine Reside

We have been having heavy downpour for the past few nights and the air is nice and cool the next morning for morning walk.

6:50am
That is hubby with a little backpack on his back. Inside is a foldable umbrella just in case it rains and also convenient to carry if we choose to something along the way.
Some makeshift stalls selling vegetables and meat open very early in the morning.

Homecooked dinner for Friday evening.
Pork belly slices + cloud ear fungus + lily buds (golden needles) cooked with the residue from the glutinous rice wine which I harvested the previous day. I kept back 1 portion for the next day's dinner.
I bought 2 broccoli for RM8 from a roadside stall. I used one to blanch and drizzled with garlic oil and oyster and soy sauce. Will do the same with the other broccoli for next day's dinner.
This was a very tasty and comforting dinner on a rainy day.

A friend shared this photo of the lizard taken in Kiara Park.

    1. Thank you, Mun. I used only a quarter of the residue. The rest kept in the fridge.

    1. It tastes something like the normal chicken wine soup but this one is with thick gravy. Taste even better if kept overnight.

  16. I am curious how the pork belly dish with the residue taste like. Never try before. Bougainvillea is a common flower along the roadside. Nice purple colour.
