Thick Creamy Curry Noodle & Steamed Flower Crab

We went for morning walk but we didn't stop for breakfast because both of our regular coffee shops were closed that morning. We walked home, got into our car and drove out to town for breakfast. The morning was cold and wet and curry noodle seemed to be the best choice for breakfast. We have a few options, but we finally decided on Yee Fatt Tea Shop.

Thick creamy curry covering the noodle, beansprout, bbq pork and chicken. This is my messy curry noodle. Some like us love this curry noodle but there are others who dislike it.
Very satisfying breakfast. Messy curry noodle with Chinese herbal tea. Did you notice the bowl of curry soup on the right? This is the first time they serve this without us requesting for it. We found out that it is given free. For those who finds the curry gravy too thick for them, they can use dilute it with this curry soup or drink it if you want to. Very thoughtful of them.

Flower crabs for my late lunch.
I bought 2 flower crabs from the roadside stall on my morning walk. I simply steamed it with ginger strips and spring onions. I ate these 2 crabs for my late lunch. Hubby doesn't like flower crabs so he went out to get his own lunch.

Saw this young grasshopper on the gate pillar in front of my house.
It didn't fly away even though I was standing very close to it.
This is one of the pests feeding on the leaves of my hibiscus plants.
Yesterday evening, I found these tiny "aliens" feeding on the leaves of my miniature hibiscus plant. Don't these baby grasshoppers look like "aliens" with their big black eyes?

Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others;
then you will live safely here in the land and prosper, feeding in safety.

    1. Sri Lanka crabs very popular in Singapore. I have tasted it when I visited Singapore many years ago. Here, as long as the crabs are fresh, I am happy to enjoy.

  11. It must take so much effort to eat the flower crabs since I think they have more shells than meat, right?

    1. No much effort because the shells are quite soft to break. The crabs were quite meaty and with lots of crab roe. I really enjoyed the crabs.

  16. Wow, I've never seen flowers like this. I like the red plates and bowls. The color red stimulates our big appetite, that is why so many food places use it. The grasshopper's EYES!!

  23. Food looks delicious. I don't like it when bugs eat my plant leaves. I've found that thieves household cleaner works well for getting insects from eating plants. Its something I get from Young Living. It kills spiders in my house. Have a very merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!!
