This was 2 days before the 2nd Movement Control Order (MCO 2.0) was enforced. Hubby wanted to eat roast pork and he wanted to try the roast pork sold outside the market in Menglembu.
We drove past the van selling the roast pork (above) to look for a place to park our car. Just look at the freshly roast pork hanging behind the van. They were in the midst of setting up the stall for business.
By the time I joined the queue, there were more than 10 customers standing in queue, some standing in zigzag trying to keep the 1m social distance. A worker was busy putting up the big umbrellas to give shade to those standing in queue. Appreciate and touched by their thoughtfulness.
While I was standing in the queue, hubby was busy taking snapshots.
They even have bbq pork.
Roast pork legs.
Roast bony parts which is used for boiling soup, rice porridge, etc. If I am not mistaken, I queued for more than 30 minutes before it was my turn.
Since I was standing behind this man and waiting for my turn, I can only see his back and his shoes. Looks like a very special type of shoes. Must be comfortable for long hours of standing.
Here is a video that hubby took. He is fast with his chopper.
I bought 2 portions of roast pork (from the rib section) RM50 plus 1 packet of bones RM10 either for boiling soup or porridge. I took out a small portion of roast pork for lunch and kept the rest in the freezer in preparation for MCO.
A prudent man foresees the difficulties ahead and prepares for them;
the simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

So crispy and yummy...my favourite! I want to have some too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie.
DeleteI sure would have taen a pic of those shoes. The people in line do not look near as distanced as they should be!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, not all were mindful of the safe distancing.
DeleteThanks for buying my portion! I am now eating them sparingly... hahaha.. dont know when the next round of roasted pork will be!
ReplyDeletePossible, not more than 10km for you to come to my area to collect. Lol!
DeleteWow! They sell full whole roasted pig and a few pigs too so business must be good. How much per kg? Do they sell different parts different prices?
ReplyDeleteI didn't ask the price because this old auntie will not remember. Lol! I just buy what I want and pay.
