While we were out on our morning walk, I received a voice message informing us to collect our breakfast from our friend's stall.
Breaking of dawn - 7:07am
7:08am
No dine-in allowed during MCO, so we collected our breakfast and walked back home.
This is by far the tastiest fried savoury glutinous rice I have eaten.
Thanks to our friend for this hearty and satisfying breakfast.
My cactus plant is not doing well due to the excess rain in the past few weeks. Hopefully, it will starts to recover now that the weather is getting hotter.
Hubby received the above snacks from his friend.
Actually, there were 5 curry puffs but 1 was eaten by hubby before I took this photo. The curry puffs were made by his friend's son.
The above fried snacks were made by his friend's wife and daughters.

Few days ago, I received a packet of prawns from our friend. I took out the frozen prawns to thaw before I started to prepare dinner.
Pan fried soy sauce prawns.
First, clean the prawns and marinate with a little sugar and salt for about an hour in the fridge. Pan fried the prawns with a little oil. Set aside. Stir fried the ginger strips and garlic with a little oil until fragrant. Add in the onion wedges, a little water, oyster and soy sauce, and let it simmer for a short while. Taste and add in a little corn flour slurry to thicken the sauce. Add in the fried prawns and spring onions, give it a quick stir and scoop out onto a serving place.
Blanched the baby choy sum and 1 home grown white brinjal from my garden. Drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Cooked 2 bricks of dried non-fried noodle.
Coconut water from our friend.
After sending one portion of prawns to our friend, we sat down to enjoy our dinner on a Saturday evening. I still had plenty of time to wash up after dinner, take my bath and sat down to attend online church.

Work hard and cheerfully at all you do,
just as though you were working for the Lord
and merely for your masters, remembering that it is
the Lord Christ who is going to pay you,
giving you your full portion of all he owns.
He is the one you are really working for.

DeleteIs your cactus planted in the ground? Cos if it is in a pot, you could move the pot to your porch to avoid it getting lots of rain.

DeleteA lot of work to make curry puffs. I believe those spiral ones are even more work.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to buy them because we can't eat much. Instead of all the work, I just buy what we can eat.
