Treasure Pot With Noodles, & Red Beans With Longan Sweet Drink

For the eve of Lunar New Year, we had treasure pot or "poon choy" for dinner which was posted here if you want to see the post. Since the treasure pot was meant for 5 people, hubby and I only managed to take a third of it.

I woke up early in the morning on the first day of Lunar New Year. I took out the treasure pot from the fridge and added napa cabbage to the dish. Once the napa cabbage is cooked and soften, I off the fire. Then I cooked 2 bricks of dried noodle.
Treasure pot noodle or poon choy noodle for breakfast.
We managed to finished half of the amount from the pot and kept the remnant for lunch.
A hearty and filling breakfast on the 1st day of CNY, 2021.
I boiled red bean with longan sweet drink or tong sui for lunch. We each took a big bowl of tong sui and finished whatever was left of the treasure pot or poon choy.
Reflection of sunset on that evening at 7:20pm.
Sunset at 7:22pm.
Twisted or crooked green eggplant.
The first fruit from this plant in my garden before it was harvest.

Wisdom will save you from evil people,
from those whose words are twisted.
These men turn from the right way to walk down dark paths.
They take pleasure in doing wrong,
and they enjoy the twisted way of evil.
Their actions are crooked, and their ways are wrong.
(Proverbs 2:12-15, New Living Translation-NLT)

  11. Nancy, watching skies I find amazing. At 7:20 the sunset didn't even look like the same day as 7:22 but you and I know it was. Skies change so fast. It is like blinking an eye. Never tasted Treasure Pot. Hopefully, I will find recipe on line and try it. You are opening my eyes to new ways of eating. Have a wonderful week end.

    1. I am glad I listened to my friend's advice not to cook anything else. So we just enjoyed that one treasure pot and it took us 3 meals to finish this small treasure pot which was meant for 5 people.
