Steamed Fish Thai Style & Steamed Long Beans With Sambal Dried Shrimp

We started out on our morning walk when the sky is usually dark. As we walk, the sky starts to light up as the sun rises. On this particular morning, I get to snap the following photos of the sunrise on our walk home.

Sunrise at 7:36am

For this particular evening, I took out the fish (tail portion) to thaw. I have managed to clear most of the frozen items from the freezer.
Steamed fish (tail portion) Thai style - appetizing recipe.
I used whatever ingredients I can find in my fridge, all except the cilantro and celery because hubby doesn't like the smell of these herbs. So I ended up using spring onions. Both of us managed to finish the whole dish.
Steamed homegrown long beans and okra topped with sambal dried shrimp.
Delicious home cooked dinner for 2 people.
We passed by this corner house and I noticed this purple flowers on the side fence. I stopped to take a few snapshots.

HAVE A BLESSED GOOD FRIDAY!

And we know that Christ, God's Son,
has come to help us understand and find the true God.
And now we are in God because we are in Jesus Christ his Son,
who is the only true God; and he is eternal Life.

  2. Is your fish gravy sourish or just spicy? Guess you remove the fish meat from the bones for your spouse. The flowers look like our local bunga seri pagi.

    1. The gravy is both sourish and spicy, like that only got oomph... No, the tail portion is meaty so hubby will have no problem with the bones.

  12. You captured a glorious sky. I love the sense of distance in it. Cilantro seems to be one of those polarizing herbs where you either love it or hate it. I love it and my wife doesn't like it all.

  21. Greetings and Salutations! Habit of walking is a good one to do especially when you love to capture sunrises. It is a nice way to take on the day. Thanks for sharing the food images. Interesting to mix long beans and okra. And those purple flowers are totally awesome. I always plant morning glories in a small patch to have them climb up the fence. They look similar. Will look up and see if they grow here too. So lovely.
