BBQ Pork Noodle & Pumpkin Carrot Curry

It was a Wednesday morning. The following snapshots were taken on our morning walk.

Breakfast
We had leftover home made bbq pork from previous day's dinner.
I cooked dried noodle and heated up the bbq pork.
Boiled water to make 2-in-in black coffee.
BBQ pork noodle and black coffee for breakfast.

Dinner
I wanted to cook curry with potatoes and carrots but found out that the potatoes have sprouted and have to discard them.
So I ended up cooking pumpkin, carrot and chicken meat curry with a packet of ready made paste.
I love salted egg with curries, so I boiled 1 salted duck egg.
After handing over a portion of curry to my neighbour, we sat down to enjoy our dinner.

How could he?
For certainly he has never been one to know the Lord's thoughts,
or to discuss them with him, or to move the hands of God by prayer.
But, strange as it seems, we Christians actually do have within us
a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 2:16, The Living Bible-TLB)

  2. Seems like quite a distance to walk pass so many houses during your morning walk. Food is sedap as usual. I could eat all your food with no complaints at all. Did you plant the sprouted potatoes in your garden?

    1. Thank you, Mun. No, I didn't plant the sprouted potatoes because I have tried twice and both times didn't succeed.

  5. Good to meet another early riser. I have never thought of adding pumpkins to curries although I love pumpkins as they are sweet. Will try out your dish, pumpkins are more nutritious than potatoes too. Salted egg is my favourite too and another fav is just salted fish and ginger.

  16. All that sounds delicious. All our potatoes are home grown and I store them in the cool of the barn, they last for ages but come spring the barn warms up a bit and the potatoes start to sprout. I go through them every 3 or 4 days and just knock the sprouts off. Come March if we still have some left I let them sprout and then plant them ready for the next year.
    Have a good week, Diane

    1. Thank you, Diane. I should have checked the potatoes even though I kept them in the fridge.

  21. I'd just cut off the sprouts and continue using the potato. Yep have read that they're supposed to be poisonous, also referring to the green parts of the potato.

I like curry with fried egg. Salted egg is one level up!

    1. If the sprout is tiny, I will just break it off, but if it is more than about half an inch, then I rather not use the potatoes.
