There were 4 more steamed buns (given by neighbour) in the fridge. I re-steamed the 4 buns for breakfast.
2 buns with coconut jam (kaya) filling and 2 buns with bbq pork (char siew) filling.
Steamed buns with black coffee for breakfast.
After breakfast, went out to the garden to water my plants.
This deep red Caladium seems very happy and doing very well after being placed under semi shade.
Out of the blue, I wanted to cook sambal ikan bilis (anchovies).
Since I had all the ingredients in the fridge, I used up all the anchovies to cook this dish. I love sambal anchovies but hubby prefers deep fried crispy anchovies. He will have to wait till my next grocery shopping trip.

Dinner supplied by our neighbour.
Our neighbour bought fried short noodle aka as fried lo shu fun.
They also bought for us steamed flat rice noodle roll with yam bean filling.
2 types of chili sauce.
Together with the flat rice noodle roll, there was a packet of pig skin and long bean curry.
For dessert, we cut 1 big apple mango.
The apple mango had thick flesh and very sweet.
Yay! Mango season is here again!
An antique bicycle with the rubber latex container at the back.
For God, who said, "Let there be light in the darkness,"
has made us understand that it is the brightness of his glory
that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
But this precious treasure - this light and power
that now shine within us - is held in a perishable container,
that is, in our weak bodies.
Everyone can see that the glorious power within
must be from God and is not our own.
(2 Corinthians 4:6-7, The Living Bible-TLB)

DeleteI want to eat your apple mango. So yummy yum! Hahahaha you didn't do half half so that your husband gets his deep fried anchovies n you get your sambal anchovy. Love your red caladium. Is it easy to plant? I wonder whether I can buy one online n get it delivered to my house or not.
ReplyDeleteI can't say whether this red caladium is easy to plant or not because I thought it died but then it came back again. This happened a few times.

ReplyDeleteI would love to eat mango every day too.
DeleteDelicious looking food. Caladium plant is very nice!!! Not a fan of mangoes. I did eat one or two when I was in Nicaragua years ago. I didn't like them that much. Megan and I had to go to 3 different restaurants this evening before we could get food. One was closed except for drive thru due to low of workers. Other one was 1/2 hour wait. Drove a bit further and were able to eat indoors. Delicious hamburgers we bought. I need to go water plants after basketball game is over...close! Very hot outdoors today...96 degrees F! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteI do miss eating hamburgers. Yes, weather here is hot too. Have a wonderful week.
DeleteSo very nice
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jo-Anne.
