After locking the gate, I took the following sky shots before we started our morning walk.
Morning sky at 6:55am.
Returning from our morning walk at 7:40am.
Economy spicy fried rice vermicelli (Indian style) from the roadside stall. One with fried egg and the other with fried chicken drumstick. Hubby had milo and I had Bru coffee.
I used to be a Nescafe fan. This is the first time I bought Bru coffee to try. I find it milder and smoother than Nescafe.

Purple Corn
I have tried growing purple corn twice in my garden. If you are interested, you can click here and here to read the posts.
My neighbour bought 4 purple corns for us. I removed the husk and silk, then I washed the corns under running tap water before I steamed them.
After steaming, the water in the metal plate was purple.
There was purple stain on my fingers after holding the steamed corn. No worry, the stain came off easily when washed.
~~~~~
I cooked Mi Sedap instant noodle for lunch.
I served the noodle with some spicy dry shrimp chili.
Side dish: 2 century duck eggs with home made pickled ginger.
I think I am the only one who served century egg with noodle.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner for 2 people.
ABC soup.
Ingredients used: potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, big onions, smashed ginger (thumb size), crushed white peppercorns and soft bone pork.
Pan fried Grouper fish slice. When it is cooked, I drizzled some soy sauce on it, flipped it over to coat the soy sauce and took it out from the pan.
I tried a new brand luncheon meat that comes in a round tin. I didn't take snapshot of the tin so I can't remember what was the brand. Not so nice, so I won't be buying this brand again i.e. if I can recognise the tin.
Simple yet satisfying and filling dinner for us.
God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son
into this wicked world to bring to us eternal life through his death.
In this act we see what real love is:
it is not our love for God but his love for us
when he sent his Son to satisfy God's anger against our sins.
(1 John 4:9-10, The Living Bible-TLB)
I need to go to Asian stores to get some century eggs!! And before I die, I have to try some purple corns!
ReplyDeleteI do hope you get to taste the purple corns.
DeleteI've never seen purple corns. Look great :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Iwona. Not easy to find purple corn.
DeleteMe too, never seen purple corn before. Wish I could give it a try. Here, we have the very nice Ligo sweet corn, nicer than the mutiara (pearl corn) that I had at Cameron.
ReplyDeleteI love century egg with ginger too, usually with a drizzle of soy sauce:

The economy spicy fried rice vermicelli looks so good! I like it spicy! Too bad the luncheon meat wasn't good. I do enjoy luncheon meat too!
Very seldom can get purple corn. I too like the Cameron Highland corns.
DeleteIs the Bru coffee the lighter colour one compared to the darker one which I think is Milo? All your food is very tasty, especially the purple corn and century egg and your abc soup. Good to feel contented and satisfied eating all the food you show here, no need fine dining.
ReplyDeleteYou are right. The darker one is milo, the lighter one is Bru because I used milk powder.
DeleteNever seen and eat purple corn. Century egg with noodle?? That is unusual.
ReplyDeleteWe seldom get to eat purple corn, not always available.
DeleteHummm deliciosos estes pratos.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e boa semana.
