It was raining when we woke up. No morning walk, just waiting for the rain to slow down so that we can go out to buy breakfast. We haven't eaten our favourite wonton noodle for a long time because of the long queue. Since it was a wet, wet morning, the queue might not be long and waiting time will be shorter.
Driving out to town at 8:25am, still raining.
True enough, there were only 2 customers ahead of us.
We provided food carriers for the boss to pack everything separately.
We added 2 sui kao to the wontons.
There were 10 wontons for 2 portions.
Stewed sweet sour pork ribs (10 pieces for 2 portions).
Pickled green chilis (boss told his wife to give extra).
I love the extra thin wonton noodle.
One portion is not enough for hubby, so he ordered 1 + half portion.
This butterfly stopped fluttering long enough for me to take some snapshots.
I was standing under the angled luffa vines, so I have to aim my hand phone camera upwards.
It was slowly opening and closing its wings.
This is the best shot.
Hubby remembered that there was one last portion of stewed duck in the fridge. This one dish is enough for him. I only need to steam rice, made chive omelette and heated up the stewed duck.
Evening sky at 6:50pm.
Evening sky at 7pm.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.
Every morning tell him,
"Thank you for your kindness,"
and every evening rejoice in all his faithfulness.

Regard my prayer as my evening sacrifice
and as incense wafting up to you.
(Psalm 141:2, The Living Bible-TLB)
That looked like a really flavourful and tasty breakfast/lunch, but your homemade dinner was even better.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie.
DeleteWonderful photos, the butterfly pics are fabulous, wow! Lots of great food, too, it all looks so delicious! Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you, Valerie.
DeleteRecently I have craving for wanton noodles again. Must go for my wanton noodles fix one day.
ReplyDeleteStewed duck and omelette would be just enough for me too. Lol. Cos the stewed duck got gravy also so the rice wouldn't be dry.
Thank you, Libby. This is my favourite steamboat for breakfast and I also have my favourite one for dinner.
DeleteHello, Nancy
ReplyDeleteYour meals look delicious, I would like to try the wanton noodles. Beautiful butterfly, great sighting. Your weather and skies looks stormy, some rain is good. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

DeleteOh, I love some summer rain!
ReplyDeleteColleagues always "laughed" about me when I joined them for lunch in a restaurant and took a food carrier cause I cannot eat such a huge meal (and don´t want all the plastic from the restaurant).
We had instant noodles yesterday, so hot, Ingo had to drink milk. I looked at the package... 3 out of 4 jalapenos!
You eat that with a spoon?
Beautiful butterfly.
The omelette looks yummy!!
Thank you, Iris. We love to eat noodles with chopsticks which was not in the picture. Some instant noodles are really spicy.

DeleteWhat a smart move, to go buy the popular wanton noodles on a rainy morning so that there would be no q. The wanton noodles look very tasty especially the sweet sour pork ribs and sui gao. I like cool rainy days if the rain is not very heavy, how about you?
ReplyDeleteAs long as it is not a thunderstorm, I am okay. Thunder and lightning very scary.
DeleteNice looking butterfly.

ReplyDeleteYup, as long as the rain is not heavy.
DeleteI'm still not used to bringing my containers for take-away. Don't seem to have suitable sizes.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on what we want to buy. Better to have bigger container especially for soup so it won't spill over.
DeleteLas tomas del cielo se ven bonitas. Besos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa.
