Eggs On Toast & Vegetable Curry With Crispy Papadum

First Thursday morning of the New Year 2022.

The morning is nice and dry and we started our morning walk at 6:52am.
This was hubby with the red cap and a backpack, walking ahead of me. The backpack comes in handy in case I buy something.
Lovely pink and blue sky at 7:12am.
And trees.
~~~~~
Early morning breakfast at 7:40am.
Hubby ordered a plate of noodle (no photo) and some of the above fried stuffs.
I ordered eggs on toast (sweet bun) with a cup of coffee.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
That morning I bought a packet of A1 (AK Koh) instant vegetable curry paste for RM4.70,
and a pack of Papadum for RM2.50.
(instant Indian black gram bean flour dough)
Home cooked vegetable curry.
Ingredients used: Instant curry paste, coconut milk (santan) 1 packet, home grown brinjals or eggplants, potatoes, tomatoes, long beans, cauliflower, and some special tofu puffs given by a friend, brought back all the way from Bentong.
Took out a portion of vegetable curry for dinner and kept the rest in the fridge for another day.
Instead of rice or noodle, I fried half a packet of papadum to go with the curry.
This was our dinner on Thurday evening.
8 pieces of deep fried papadum with vegetable curry.
Pretty wasp moth in my garden.
Mating season
This snapshot was taken in the month of May.

For in due season Christ will be revealed from heaven by the blessed
and only Almighty God, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
who alone can never die, who lives in light so terrible
that no human being can approach him.
No mere man has ever seen him nor ever will.
Unto him be honor and everlasting power
and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
(1 Timothy 6:15-16, The Living Bible-TLB)

  1. Your vegetable curry looks good. Gotta go and buy that instant curry paste to try - yes, I've seen that brand here but not the papadum. I guess the shops do not stock up on those here - no market, too few Indians.
    I love the eggs, nice runny yolks!!!

  11. That vegetable curry looks delicious and I really appreciate that you give a litte detail of how the dish is made and show pictures of the packaging of the products you use - which always look very exotic to me! Hubby always comes to look at your meals over my shoulder when I reach your blog as there are lots of oohs and aahs and 'that's interesting'!

  18. Your time-stamps make me giggle.
    I always took off 05:12 a.m. to Wolfsburg.
    Once my car told me it´s 05:45, but it was 05:44 and I set off the alarm in the Volkswagen-place, unlocking the door, uh-oh! (was an external only, trouble!).

    And my Hubby does that, too. Carrying my (pink!) backpack.
    Real men, huh!

    Hmmmm, I love eggs! Need to buy coconut milk again! Yours looks so yummy!
    Nah! What a pic! ;-) Give them some privacy ;-)

  25. Papadum to replace rice? I wonder how many I'd have to eat to fill my tummy! Probably will get a sore jaw haha.

    1. We each had 4 pieces of papadum. No worry about sore jaw ha ha ha but to avoid sore throat, we drink plenty of water.
