Enjoyable Dinner At Restoran Eipoh, Ipoh

We were invited by our friends to join them for dinner on Sunday evening.

We were to meet at the restaurant at 6:30pm.
Our friends were there before us and the dishes were ordered so we needn't have to wait long for the food to be served.
Our favourite - Steamed taro with pork belly.
Grouper fish slices with ginger slices and spring onions.
Sweet potato leaves sauteed with garlic and salt.
Flavourful and appetizing pork belly slices with salted fish.
Halfway through our dinner, it rained and stopped just before we finished dinner. We will be meeting again soon for breakfast one of these days.
Driving home after dinner at 7:35pm.
Wild mushrooms growing from an old tree stump from our morning walk.
More wild mushrooms growing from another old tree stump.
We were surprised to find an old public phone booth still standing. The phone is intact but no longer working. Sorry for the not so clear picture because I took this snapshot at 6:50am.

So use every piece of God's armor
to resist the enemy whenever he attacks,
and when it is all over, you will still be standing up.
(Ephesians 6:13, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. Thank you, Lucyna. These days we go out in smaller group of 4 people, easier to follow seating arrangement during pandemic.

  3. Nancy I love touring your city both during the day and at dusk. About the foods that you show us, I cannot give my opinion because I do not know what their taste is, they have ingredients that are not known to me.
Greetings from Argentina, our food has Spanish and Italian influence.

  6. I like the Grouper fish slices dish the best. What a creative name to choose the name EIpoh for the restaurant. Does it mean Electronic Ipoh restaurant?

  9. I guess "Eipoh" means grand auntie? In Seremban, there is a nice coffee shop called Yi Poh.
I love pork with salted fish! I had claypot yam/taro in my blogpost today too! What a coincidence.

  14. So nice to able to meet friends and enjoy good company and food. Slowly, life is going back to pre-covid but we still must exercise caution and SOP.

    1. We have to exercise caution especially when choosing places to eat. No more gathering in large groups.

    1. Thank you, Tanya. This is an open booth where others can hear every word spoken. Yours most likely a more private, enclosed booth.
