Steamed Minced Meat With Pickled Mustard Green

Our day started with a lovely morning.

Morning sky at 7:12am
My yellow hibiscus wishes you "Good morning".
The early birds say "Thank you" for this fig.
Hubby was supposed to buy the above item to stock up for porridge.
But he came back with this pickled mustard green instead.
He didn't buy 1 but he bought 2.
So instead of eating it with porridge, I sliced the mustard green and mixed it with minced pork and some chili padi. Then I steamed it to eat with steamed rice.
Sauteed napa cabbage with carrot, garlic and salt.
I have been passing by this way but somehow never really noticed this phone booth. One morning we walked by this way to go to our regular coffee shop. Only then did I noticed that one of them has a public phone still intact which has not been destroyed. So far, this is the 2nd public phone I saw and shared in my posts.

"Why are you angry?" the Lord asked him.
"Why is your face so dark with rage?
It can be bright with joy if you will do what you should!
But if you refuse to obey, watch out.
Sin is waiting to attack you, longing to destroy you.
But you can conquer it!"
(Genesis 4:6-7, The Living Bible-TLB)

  4. I did cook something like this before - steamed minced pork but with canned pickled lettuce with a bit of soy sauce so it is a shade darker.

    1. Sadly, these pay phones have been replaced by our hand phones much to our convenience.

  12. It's amazing to even see phone like this today. The birds must have really enjoyed the fig. I bet they'll be coming back to finish it later.
    Have a great day Nancy.

  15. Your hibiscus is beautiful, and i hope you get at least as many figs as the birds do.

Sometimes the wrong item purchased turns out to be a bonus.

  16. Ahhh, the birds loved the figs in my back yard when we lived in California! I was always so bummed to see when they would feast on the ripe ones, haha! - http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com
