We have been having thunderstorms on and off. When there is no thunderstorm, it is usually cloudy for most part of the day.
Whenever I don't feel like having noodle, I will order toast with butter and kaya. I like the above cute plate.
Toast with a cup of hot unsweetened milo.
Now a cup of milo costs RM2.60.
Morning sky at about 7.45am. Another cloudy day.

Dinner with friends at Restoran Li Garden, Taman Pinji Seni, Ipoh.
We ordered prawn curry in bread.
Instead of crabs, we requested for prawns.
This set costs RM60.00.
We ordered 1 plate of rice and the rest of us had bread.
Water spinach or kangkong in claypot.
This dinner costs around RM114, paid by our friend.

So let us feast upon him and grow strong in the Christian life,
leaving entirely behind us the cancerous old life
with all its hatreds and wickedness.
Let us feast instead upon the pure bread
of honor and sincerity and truth.

Love your Dinner At Restoran Li Garden especially the whole steamed fish. Bread is good to soak up all the delicious curry gravy. I would go for prawns too instead of crabs. Your friend is so nice to give you all a treat. Wonderful bonding dinner. I like to eat toasts too. Used to eat that at old town white coffee but more than two years never been there already. Do you make toasts with butter and kaya like that at home for breakfast?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mun. At home I usually have toast with kaya only without the butter.
DeleteA really comforting and delicious meal! I love that claypot fish!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. The claypot fish very tasty.
DeleteI love that curry in bread. Don't think we have this here anymore, used to order when I was in Penang.
ReplyDeleteThey have chicken curry too but we usually prefer crab or prawn curry in bread.
DeleteI just had toast with butter and kaya yesterday at Ya Kun toast too. Sunddenly have craving for it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Libby. Sometimes toast with butter and kaya is great for breakfast.
DeleteYou are so lucky to eat out so often. And you eat so well, too.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the beta fish mural. It is awesome. I love how the artist has taken the building into consideration when designing the mural.
We were blessed with many good eateries and many varieties to choose from.
DeleteFood look delicious and sky is wonderful too.
ReplyDeleteI like this mural with beautiful fish. It adds beauty to the wall.
Have a great day!
Thank you, Amila. Have a great day too.
DeleteThe plates are very nice. And the fish mural is fancy! But what is Kaya?
ReplyDeleteKaya is made from coconut milk, sugar and eggs. A sweet spread for toast, bread or crackers.
DeleteBeautiful mural! (and the toast made me hungry).
ReplyDeleteThank you, Iris.
DeleteP.S. the roses-photo: I meant Henry, LOL. The sweet girls are my Nieces!
ReplyDeleteOoops, sorry Iris. I thought one of the sweet girls is you. Lol!

ReplyDeleteHave a nice week too.
DeleteThe dishes are all so good! The tilapia, curry and kangkung - sure will eat two plates of rice! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI didn't eat rice but I had a lot of bread with the curry.
DeleteWe have a Li Garden in Kuching. Don't think the same as yours.

This Li Garden survived the pandemic.
DeleteSuch a lovely dinner you had :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolyna.
DeleteMy part of the sky is cloudy as well, as your morning sky looks pleasant. The fish mural goes well through the jaali.

Thank you, Sami for hosting.
DeleteI love the prawn dish. I was just wondering Nancy, what is RM60.00. compared in Canadian or American money? Every time I would see your price and I wondered what my money would be.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Thank you, Paul. Our RM60 is about 14usd or 18.5 Canadian dollars.

ReplyDeleteI remembered eating at Li Garden Restaurant! No wonder it sounded so familiar.
That is nice to see Beta Fish murals on the shops. So attractive art.
Yes, saw the videos and photos of flood in social media. So sad that the flood is serious and affected many people. So you have eaten at Li Garden Restaurant. It is still in business.
DeleteWonderful food, drinks and photos. Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThank you, Valerie. Have a great day too.
DeleteNancy didn't know it was milo since it wasn't milk, coffee or tea. I turned to Google and there I found the answer:
ReplyDeleteMilo is a brand of Nestlé milk-soluble beverages. It was created by the Australian Thomas Mayne in 1934 and is distributed in Asia, Oceania and Latin America. The name Milo is a reference to the Greek athlete Milo of Crotona, who according to legend possessed legendary strength.
In Argentina there is no
Usually milk is added to milo but I ordered just plain milo which milo on its own with hot water. That is how I make my own milo at home too because milo is already sweet on it own.
Buena semana, amiga Nancy.
Thank you, Manuel.
DeleteDinner looks fabulous. I want to come along with you for dinner.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week, Nancy. ♥

DeleteSO much good food. You have such an interesting life. I locve seeing all these dishes. I forgot to mention in the previous post, I recently purchased two tall glass canisters with the metal closure on them for our pinto beans and rice. I need more though as we use white, brown and wild rice. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne. I would like to try wild rice. I don't think I have seen wild rice being sold here.
DeleteI've only had that kangkung in claypot and curry in bread in... Ipoh. Sigh. Dunno when can visit again.
ReplyDeleteHope you can visit soon.
