Delayed Mother's Day Celebration At Jimm's Cafe, Ipoh

We stayed home and had a simple home cooked dinner on Mother's Day. Mother's Day was on a Sunday and we didn't want to join in the crowd that evening. We had a delayed Mother's Day celebration 4 days later and it was a Thursday evening.

We started the day with a morning walk at about 6:50am.
We chose Jimm's Cafe in Taman Kar King, Ipoh for our dinner. We celebrated Mother's Day with my ex-colleague/friend and her husband.
We called to reserved a table for 4 people.
For drinks, the mothers ordered orang, apple, palm.
One father ordered root float and another father ordered ice water.
~~~~~
For food, we ordered the following for 4 people.
Seafood Wat Tan Hor (flat rice noodle with egg gravy).
Hot plate chargrill chicken.
A mixed platter.
Black pepper sauce and mushroom sauce.
For dessert, we had mixed ice-cream.
(3 scoops of ice cream: vanilla, chocolate & mango flavour).
Total cost of dinner: RM140.
We had a wonderful dinner with good fellowship. To complete the dinner, the mixed ice creams with fruits is the best choice.
Choose my instruction instead of silver,
knowledge rather than choice gold,
for wisdom is more precious than rubies,
and nothing you desire can compare with her.
(Proverbs 8:10-11, New International Version-NIV)
  9. Your mixed ice cream is appealing to both the eyes and the stomach. I'm glad you had a good time with your pals for Mother's Day dinner, and I like the restaurant's interior.
  12. Yes, many people celebrate it a day earlier on Saturday but these days, it is so very crowded as well on Saturdays. We celebrated on Friday as it was my missus' birthday - two birds with one stone...and the venue we chose was packed - lots of groups of people showing up with cakes for the special occasion!
