Tuesday 31st January was the 10th day of CNY 2023. Hubby and I had already started out on our morning walk when we received a call from a friend at about 6:55am. She wanted to have breakfast with us and will be picking us up from our house in an hour's time. We finished our morning walk and went home for wait.

We were seated in front of this wall.

2 plates of fried prawn dumplings, 2 trays of steamed prawn dumplings, yam puffs and siew mai in the centre.
Steamed chicken glutinous rice (left) and fried radish cake (right).
Satisfying and filling breakfast for 4 people.

Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.
She offers you long life in her right hand,
and riches and honor in her left.
She will guide you down delightful paths;
all her ways are satisfying.
Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
happy are those who hold her tightly.
(Proverbs 3:15-18, New Living Translation-NLT)
Simple but nice decor. Cute bunny toy.
ReplyDeleteNice satisfying dim sum breakfast.
Thank you, Rose.
DeleteNice call from your friend!
ReplyDeleteCute rabbits and oh, the umbrellas.
If I had space... my Dad brought me such one from Japan in the mid-70´s. It sits closed in the corner...
Nice photo-idea, too - where is yours? ;-)
I googled siew mai - sounds very yummy! (apart from the scallion).
I would love to try fried radish cake! Found a recipe - just what is rice flour? I don´t think we get that here...
But thank you for the input!
Rice flour is made from ground rice.
