Hello, I am back again. I have finished the 5th chemo treatment and was discharged from the hospital on the 24th morning. The night before I was discharged, I strained my back muscles and it was really painful. Now, after applying some counter pain gel, I am feeling much better now but have to adjust my back while in standing and walking position. My next pre-chemo blood test will be on the 4th July and admit to hospital for the 6th chemo treatment on the 5th July.
Sunrise at 6:55am.
Some hardy cactus from my garden which doesn't need any care.

Lyrics
My worth is not in what I own
Not in the strength of flesh and bone
But in the costly wounds of love at the cross
My worth is not in skill or name
In win or lose, in pride or shame
But in the blood of Christ that flowed at the cross
I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure, wellspring of my soul
And I will trust in Him, no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone
As summer flowers we fade and die
Fame, youth and beauty hurry by
But life eternal calls to us at the cross
I will not boast in wealth or might
Or human wisdom's fleeting light
But I will boast in knowing Christ at the cross
I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure, wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him, no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone
Two wonders here that I confess
My worth and my unworthiness
My value fixed, my ransom paid at the cross
And I rejoice in my Redeemer
Greatest treasure, wellspring of my soul
I will trust in Him, no other
My soul is satisfied in Him alone
Me alegro que estés mejor. Te mando un beso y lindos cactus.

DeleteThe mural flowerpots are so pretty. I hope the chemo is not making you too sick? Are they keeping that under good control?
ReplyDeleteThe chemo treatment is under good control. It is just that I pulled my muscle at the waist. It pains when getting up from bed and when taking the first few steps.
DeletePeople our age will have to be very careful. Acupuncture helps...if you are into it, for back pain. Another round of chemo? How many altogether? May God bless you with strength, keep the faith.
ReplyDeleteNo no, I am not into acupuncture. Altogether, I need to do 9 rounds of chemo treatment. 4 more rounds to go.
DeleteThe painted flower pots are very pretty. Those cactus are very prickly:) Hope the chemo treatments are going well. Thanks for participating in Monday Mural Nancy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sami for hosting.
DeleteI am all too familiar with back pain. Do be careful and I hope your back will recover soon. I find that it helps not to sit or stand for too long. May God bless you with lots of energy and vitality and may he shine his healing powers upon you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, PH. The pain is less now but still struggle when getting up from bed and slowly adjusting position while on bed.
DeleteNice to see you back, even sadly in pain...
ReplyDeleteHope the treatment works...
Some friendly cactus you have, no care needed.
Beautiful mural mugs.
I´m wishing you all the best!
Thank you, Iris.

DeleteTry some massage, which has certainly helped me before when I had problems with neck and back. Beautiful sunrise!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. Hubby is helping to apply some counterpain gel to soothe the pain away and it helps.
DeleteNancy, how wonderful that your pineapple has come to fruition! Have you obtained the plant through a piece? You have to tell us how you did it!
ReplyDeleteI just twist off the crown of the ripe pineapple that I bought and plant it in a pot. It will grow from there.
DeletePiękne są te doniczki na kwiaty. Lubię kaktusy. Miłego tygodmia:)

DeleteOMG! I didn't know that you are going through the same journey. I had cancer relapse 3 times since my surgery 18 months ago. I had 2 rounds chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment which was very suffering. Next week will be 3rd round but just oral chemotherapy tablets which the side effects are terrible. I have been posting my progress in my blog too. Get well soon.
ReplyDeleteI have read about your painful journey of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and I didn't know that I will be going through the same thing too. I hope and pray that we both won't have to have any more extended chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment after this. It seems cancer is so common these days and there are so many kinds of cancer people are suffering from.
DeleteSorry about the back pain, which I experience, too. Love that pineapple and those flower pots. Take care!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gigi. You take care too.
DeleteSorry to hear of your back troubles after this last Chemo, did they say it was from the chemo? Praying it heals quickly for you.
ReplyDeleteThat first cactus is pretty neat and congrats on getting a pineapple. Beautiful hymn to end your post!
The back trouble is due to my movement when I was trying to get up from bed. Thank you for your prayers.
Deletei hope you get some relief hugs

Thank you, RR for your hugs.
DeleteWe are all hoping that the chemo is effective, Nancy. I know that the side effects can be quite awful. A painful back on top of that is something you don't need. Best wishes - David
ReplyDeleteThank you, David. Looking forward to the last round of chemo. Yes, the back pain can be really painful.
DeleteWishing you that the next chemo treatment goes well too! Your trust and belief in your Redeemer is going to help and strenghten you.
ReplyDeleteI like all your pictures Nancy; especially that of the cactus and the rooster.
Thank you, Duta.
