Vegetarian Dinner @ Yi Sheng Su Restaurant, Ipoh

Yesterday, my sister-in-law came from Seremban to meet up with some old family friends who are in Ipoh for a short visit. This couple has gone oversea to stay with their children and in a few days' time they will be flying off again. She called us up and invited us to dinner to meet up with these friends. So, it was a dinner cum gathering of old friends at Restaurant Yi Shen Su, a vegetarian connoisseur in Medan Ipoh Baru (near Jaya Jusco, Ipoh Garden).

My hubby and I were the last to arrive and I was introduced to their old friends. We were the earliest customers and while waiting for the food to be served, there was plenty of time for sharing and updating each other.
The first dish to arrive at the table - Vegetarian Curry Mutton.

The next dish - Vegetarian Fish with Preserved Black Beans.

Followed by Stir-Fried Chinese Mustard Green.

Fresh Amaranth Green (Bayam), in superior soup, garnished with crispy seaweed.

Fried Tofu topped with vegetarian paste, garnished with Chinese green (choy sum).

Vegetarian Braised Salted Fish with Stripe Meat.

Lastly, Vegetarian Cereal Prawns

Total cost of 7-dish dinner for 9 people
MYR 199.90 (approx. 55.97 USD)
Address: 19-21, Jalan Medan Ipoh 6, Medan Ipoh Baru.

Yet He (God) has not left Himself without testimony:
He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven
and crops in their seasons;
He provides you with plenty of food
and fills your heart with joy.
(Acts 14:17, New International Version-NIV)

  1. Though I have never tasted vegeterian food, they all look so delicious to me. I like how they make vegeterian char siu that looks exactly like the real char siu.

  3. I think there is a vegetarian restaurant in One Utama with almost the same name or it may be an outlet of this restaurant. I seldom eat at vegetarian restaurant because although I like to eat vegetables I don't quite like to eat those vegetarian fish or other vegetarian meat.

    1. Oh yes, the names of their dishes are like non veggie dishes. And even the flavouring are just like the real thing.
