There is this plant with small purple flowers in my garden that I have been trying to identify but so far have not been successful. I hope someone out there can help me with the identification of this plant. Today I want to share with you this dainty purple flower plant.
My dainty purple flower plants grows well in normal garden soil with good drainage. It does well in partial shade or under few hours of sunlight. I have not tried propagation through stem cuttings and hope to do so soon.

I bought this plant from the morning market in my housing area. At that time it was a small plant with a few purple flowers in a black plastic bag. The man who sold this plant to me mentioned a name in Chinese which I cannot remember.
Since I do not know its proper name, I will refer to this as my dainty purple flower plant. It blooms all the year round.

While I was taking this photo, I noticed one of my garden guests settling on the top flower, feeding on its nectar.

DeletePurple is one of my favourite colour and no doubt this small dainty flower is very pleasing to my eyes. Am zero about the names of flowers too.
ReplyDeletePurple is also one of my favourite. I have lots of purple flowers in my garden.
DeleteI don’t know its name, either. Such lovely shades of purple flowers which grow and bloom all the year round by occasional trimming, this is an ideal plant in the garden. Maybe you can increase them from a cutting or by self-sown seed.
ReplyDeleteYoko
Yoko, I love to grow more but somehow didn't get down to it yet.
DeleteSo elegant the individual flower. And lovely to have so many blooming on the plant.
ReplyDeleteEven though the flowers are small, they are very pretty!
