Visiting Ngong Ping Village & International Cable Cars Gallery In Hong Kong

Hong Kong, Day 2 - Ngong Ping Village & Cable Cars Gallery

All too soon the cable car ride was over after about 30 minutes ride. It was a fun ride, filled with jokes, laughter, teasing and all the breath-taking view all around us.

Please excuse the poor quality photos in this post. I think my camera was suffering the after effect of the cable car ride.  I think it caught the acrophobia!

International Cable Cars Exhibition Gallery on both sides of the walkway. Cable cars from eight nations on exhibit in Ngong Ping Village.

From Spain.
From Brazil.
From China.
From Switzerland.
From France.
And from Italy.


The steps leading to the world's largest bronze Tian Tan Buddha statue.
While some of our friends climbed up the steps leading to the Buddha statue, the others were either resting or taking photos.

    Nancy interesting tri. I would like to visit Monastery it seems so interesting. And I am inteested in Budda. Different religions are my cup of tea..

      Hi Phong Hong, I think its not about age la. I was so afraid when I was young but now at almost 60 years I suddenly lost the fear! But I wouldn't know about future rides...lol!

    I visited Hong Kong several times from 1979 - 1981 when I was in the Australian Navy. I remember getting on the really steep tram ride to The Peak as well as going on a cable Car up to Ocean Park. Hong Kong was always my favourite place to visit out of all the Asian countries we went to. And the food was incredible. I remember going to the Jumbo Floating Restaurant at Aberdeen, what an amazing feast we had there. I'm 55 now but have many wonderful memories from those days. Oh & the Tiger Balm Gardens was also an amazing place to visit too.

    These views of Hong Kong are wonderful. I would love to see it in person. The pictures with the children and the other people in them were my favorites. You really brought them to life for the viewer.
