Dinner At Locomotive Seafood Restaurant, Bercham

Last week I received a call to meet up with a friend in Bercham. By the time we have finished with our meeting, the others left to do their chores and only a friend and I remained. I suggested going for a snack and drink at GP Food Court in Bercham.

At the food court, we just couldn't decide what to order and my friend suggested we try a newly opened shop just opposite the food court. I am always game to try new things and we walked across the road to the opposite shop.
There were many side stalls but we were interested to try the "Locomotive Seafood Restaurant' which is located at the back portion of this shop.
The restaurant is doing a 2 weeks promotion charging only RM5.00 per dish.
The restaurant is on the right side, the front is the drinks counter.
We ordered a plate of Fragrant pork slices (kum heong yoke in Cantonese).
It is very flavourful and tasty. Promotional rate @ RM5.00.
Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables with Sambal (sei tai tin wong in Cantonese).
This is also very flavourful and tasty. Promotional rate @ RM5.00.
A plate of Deep Fried Tofu with Angled Loofah.
Promotional rate @ RM5.00
Total lunch cost (inclusive of 2 plates of white rice) = RM17.20

Saturday Dinner with hubby.
Hubby and I came back to the same restaurant. Wanted to have our dinner here before attending the Saturday evening church service.  We were informed that the promotional rate only applies to weekdays, excluding Saturdays & Sundays.
We ordered Steamed Red Tilapia fish with blended ginger - RM20.00
Steamed Pork Belly with Taro - RM15.00.
Taro is my favourite but the pork belly was too fat for my liking.
Total dinner cost (inclusive of 1 plate of white rice) - RM36.10

Samuel replied, "Has the Lord as much pleasure in your burnt
offerings and sacrifices as in your obedience?
Obedience is far better than sacrifice.
He is much more interested in your listening to Him
than in your offering the fat of rams to Him."
(1 Samuel 15:22, TLB)

  1. The red tilapia fish with ginger must be very delicious. When I eat pork belly, I removed all the fats and not eat them.

    1. The promotional dishes are worth the price. The others are almost the same price with other places.

  4. Your foods sound very foreign to me...I live in West Texas and most of our food is very common.
Thanks for always sharing your meals with us. xoxo

    1. Hi Tom, ha ha...not really. I do a lot of other things too but I love gardening and over here we get to enjoy all kinds of food. So definitely it is easier to blog about these. Sad to say we do not have barns here, so I can't post on barns. Have a wonderful week!

  8. Promotion dishes looks good. Indeed the pork belly with taro is too fat for my liking too. These business minded people are so clever, only give promotion on weekdays cos weekends usually a lot of people are off day from the kitchen.
