Today, we get to see the nearby hills after 2 days of rain but the haze is still over us and have not fully clear yet. We do missed the bright sunny days with clear blue sky.
Its been weeks of hazy days and everything around us seems so gloomy. Many people are down with influenza, cough and itchy throats. The elderly, sickly and babies are encouraged to stay indoors. There were times we could smell a burning scent in the air.
About 2 weeks ago, we were on our way to town to get some breakfast and after that, to run some errands.
These hazy days made me tired and sleepy, even though it was morning!
Having done our errands, we were on our way home when we saw this car decorated with flags in front of us. I told hubby to drive closer.....
Oh, slow down, please slow down...I am trying to focus my camera on this car!
This car with the flags is very eye-catching!
In spite of the hazy days and gloominess, we Malaysians celebrated Malaysia Day on the 16 September!
We were comfortably in the car and my heart went out to these motorists who were breathing in the haze particles.
While waiting for the traffic light to change green, I snapped this fences running parallel to each other.
Stop for the traffic light is red!

Nancy, that is very hazy, but that car really brightens things up, doesn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, yes it does.
DeleteWonder when the haze will fully go away? That was very patriotic car owner!
ReplyDeleteHi Rose, we had rain these 2 days and the haze did cleared a bit.
DeleteWow, the car with the flags does stand out. Great captures. Sorry abou the haze, is it polution? I hope it clears up and I wish you sunny clear skies. Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Eileen. The haze is caused by open burning in our neighbouring country. We faced the same problem every year but this year is worse than previous years.
DeleteSien ar....every year this uninvited guest will make its appearance. The hazy & gloomy sky really makes everyone tired, sleepy, watery & itchy eyes. That shows how patrotic is the car owner, a truly Malaysian.
ReplyDeleteHi Irene, this year the haze is really bad. Like you have said...really sien! That car with the flags brightens things up a bit.
Deletewahhh.. really hazy.. Thank God these few days are better...
ReplyDeleteYes, Claire, these few days are much better because of the rain.
DeleteWow, that is hazy, here's hoping it will soon disappear. Great car.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mamas. We are praying for the haze to disappear.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Carolaan. Have a beautiful day!
DeleteI live in California and we have forest fires every summer and often our haze is smoke from fires. This year was no different. It's pretty good now, but much of the summer we had haze.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Malaysia Day.
Have a fabulous day Nancy. ☺
Thank you, Sandee. Every year we have haze due to open burning.
DeleteThe haze was really bad a week ago.
ReplyDeleteYes, as far as I can remember, the haze was never this bad as this year's.
DeleteHaze days, a time i hate most when i camera will go into hibernation mode.
ReplyDeleteHi Thomas, yes because everything will turn out blue and hazy!
DeleteThe haze would really get to me after awhile. We might have the odd spell of three days of haze, but it does go away.
ReplyDeleteHi William, this haze is a year affair. This year is the longer and the I think the worst!
DeleteI sure like the car decorated with the flags.

DeleteAfter reading some of the comments I understand now where the "haze" was coming from. I can relate as we had wild fires in our state much of the summer and the air quality wasn't so great. - You got some nice photos and that patriotic car was cool. I enjoyed seeing your fences as well.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ida. The haze has become a yearly thing.
DeleteI hope the weather will be better soon. Take care Nancy
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gosia. The haze is still with us!
DeleteOh the haze looks really bad! That car was decked out with flags- very festive and patriotic!
ReplyDeleteHi Terri, the haze is still bad. Have a lovely day!
DeleteOh, Love that car with the flags...so awesome that you got to capture that. I, too, tire of hazy, cloudy days that come one right after another!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rose. It seems the haze is still lingering on....

ReplyDeleteToday Primary and Secondary School closed... PSI over 300, sobsssss....
Oh, I am so sorry. Looks like the haze situation is really bad in Sg! Try to stay indoors and drink more water. Take care, Sharon!
DeleteHope your air quality clears up soon. Great street scenes!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Stephanie. Still waiting for the haze to clear.

Thank you and oh yes, we are praying and hoping for clean fresh air soon!
DeleteYeah the haze is still around. Can smell that tell-tale burning every once in a while. We don't appreciate clean, clear air enough haha.
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, it is so true. All these while we have taken our fresh and clean air for granted. How we missed the fresh and clean air!
