Lunch At Restoran Min Jiet, Ipoh

Someone recommended to me this noodle stall at Restoran Min Jiet, telling me that the "Hor Hee" noodle is good. I love to eat "Hor Hee" noodle and I remembered we used to enjoy very tasty "Hor Hee" noodles in Ipoh town but now I do not know where they have all gone to.

I wanted to try out the noodle and suggested to hubby to go there for lunch one afternoon. Upon reaching the place, we realized we have been there before. We remembered that the food from the restaurant was good. There are many varieties of rice and noodle dishes to choose from their menu. These were prepared from the main kitchen.
Hubby ordered a plate of rice topped with young ginger and spring onion prawns. The food was good and he enjoyed his lunch very much.

Since I wanted to try the noodle, I ordered "Hor Hee" noodle from Seng Kee Mee Stall which is in front of the restaurant. I was one of the last few customers. I have to say that the "Hor Hee" noodle was not what I was looking for.

We wouldn't mind going back for the restaurant food but I am still looking for good "Hor Hee" noodle. Restoran Min Jiet is opposite to Ipoh ACS School.

Less than half an hour later, I felt like eating something. Opened the fridge and found a papaya fruit. Our sweet and juicy dessert!

Be full of love for others, following the example of Christ
who love you and gave Himself to God as a sacrifice
to take away your sins. And God was pleased,
for Christ's love for you was like sweet perfume to Him.
(Ephesians 5:2, The Living Bible-TLB)

    1. The hor hee tasted just like normal soup noodle, quite bland. I am looking for those I used to eat, the ones we get to smell the fragrance and taste of the "toong choy". The flavour was not there.

    1. Thank you, Erika. Hor Hee noodle is a type of noodle in soup with fish balls and fish cakes but they add in a type of salted preserved veggie to make the soup special. Have a great day!

just dropping in to say Thank You for visiting and joining LAWN TEA! bj is such a sweet friend, and insisted on inviting her friends to come by and read about Towandaland.
