Chicken Rice At Restoran Nasi Ayam Pak Kong, Ipoh.

My eldest son loves to eat chicken rice and it is especially the chicken rice from Restoran Nasi Ayam Pak Kong. Chicken rice in Malay is nasi ayam. During his recent trip back home for his holidays, we had chicken rice for lunch.

Parking in this area is not easy. To avoid the crowd and to get a table, we had to go earlier before the peak lunch hour.
Roast or deep fried chicken with soy sauce.
A plate of Hainan style poached chicken with soy sauce.
 BBQ pork or char siew.
Rice.
Soup is free....
Sweet sour boiled veggie - our favourite and it is very appetizing!
Sambal Petai or stinking beans with spicy prawn paste.
Hubby's and my favourite but NOT our sons' favourite!

happy is the man who keeps on eating it.

  2. All looks so good & chicken rice has always been my favourite. Roasted or poached chicken, both I like. For the poached chicken I prefer not to drown it with the black sauce. Sweet sour vegetable is a very nice appetizer.

  3. Every dish you ordered looks so yummy...If I were your son, I will stay with you forever and never leave home:) Hmmm....I read a lot about 'petai' from food bloggers, but I don't think I ever tried that ever before...Does it taste like any other beans or even peas?

    1. Thank you, Annie. Petai tastes like beans and they are crunchy. But after eating, your pee will stink! That's why it is called stinking beans. Ha ha!

  5. I love chicken rice. Roasted, deep-fried and steamed.

Yours are so generous with the soy sauce. Over here we dont usually overflood the chicken with sauce. Just drizzle around.
