I have done 2 previous posts on Chang Jiang F&B. If you are interested, you can visit them here (1st visit) & here (breakfast). Today, in this post, I will be sharing on the Old Treasures that I have found in Chang Jiang F&B.
These photos were taken in the exhibit room behind the dining room.
Old bicycle
In the old days, we also have enamel wares like these mugs & coffee pot.
Coffee beans in gunny sacks.
Coffee cloth strainer and old coffee tins.
Changing coffee culture - how to make Ipoh white coffee....
All about Chang Jiang white coffee.........
Old Tricycle
Fiber knitted sandals.
Perforated aluminium bowl.
Below are some common breakfast food that goes well with coffee...
Eggs...
Biscuits...
Buns and chicken wing. Chicken wing...?
Bread slices...
All these are counterfeits on display and we were deceived into thinking they were all real food except for the chicken wing,
Linking to Tuesday's Treasures & Image-in-ing.Thank you, Tom & NC Sue for hosting.
Don't be carried away and deceived regardless of what they say.
For the day will not come until two things happen:
first, there will be a time of great rebellion against God,
and then the man of rebellion will come - the son of hell.
He will defy every god there is and
tear down every other object of adoration and worship.
He will go in and sit as God in the temple of God,
claiming that he himself is God.
(2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, TLB)
Some lovely treasures Nancy. I posted photos of old Bicycles today too. I've never seen knitted sandals before, they are definitely an old treasure. The table the fake food (they fooled me too) is on is really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tony. The fake food were very real indeed! Have a lovely day!
DeleteChicken wing for breakfast??
ReplyDeleteNice shots. Love looking through them. Fiber knotted sandals. That is not something we could find now.
Thank you, Rose. This is the first time I saw the fiber sandals. I don't think it will be comfortable.
DeleteLovely displays Nancy. I like enamel ware and own 3 pieces though none of them match. If I had more room I would buy a set. We can still buy in Chinatown. Long ago everyone owned them in northern BC and Alberta though these days no one seems to have them.
ReplyDeleteEnamel were common those days but once chipped, they will rust.
DeleteNANCY THE OLD BIKES ARE REALLY LOVELY
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gosia. Have a lovely day!
DeleteLOL at the chicken wing! What on earth is it doing there.
ReplyDeleteThose enamel ware are coming back into fashion. Saw some mugs in an boutique-y home place just the other week. Not cheap of course.
Someone must have been longing for chicken wing ha ha! I guess it is a good thing that people are appreciating the old things and bring them back into fashion.
