After our chicken porridge lunch in the food court in Gopeng (which I have posted in the previous post), together with our guest we drove around Gopeng. We do not visit Gopeng as often as we used to. My hubby grew up and attended school in Gopeng.
We stopped for me to snap some wall murals.
#1 - Lion dance mural
#2 - A noodle stall
I like this one. #3 - little girl sitting on a cut tree trunk.
#4 - Durian fruits & stinky bean (petai) stall.
Our friend pointed this out to us.

This got me interested. Got out from the car to snap some photos.
I was curious about this place but there was no one around at that time.

Found this abandoned old house nearby.

DeleteLove the beautiful murals paintings especially the noodle stall. Is this unique kopitiam operating business? Like how they turn it into kopitiam but on the other hand, the abandon house looks spooky.

DeleteNancy, it's nice that you have this antique house in your area. It's a beautiful heritage and glad it is preserved. The wood doors, windows and even the outside tables looks so sturdy...things of the past are more valuable and lasting than what we can buy these days. Thanks for sharing this with us:)

Gopeng has been drawing tourist to the museum and heritage house. I think this authentic kopitiam and murals are additions to the attraction.

DeleteThere's an exotic (for here) fruit grower out on the island near us and we tasted Durian fruit once (good) and smelled it (Eek!). It looks like a very nice place to visit.
