Kopi Kaw Kaw & Mantao With Curry Gravy At Lim Ko Pi, Ipoh.

Last Sunday after our lunch at Restoran J. J. Fatt in Lawan Kuda, Gopeng (click here to read), we sent our friend back to her house and sat a while to spend some time with her. Then we left to visit another friend in town which we have not met for a long time. The wives almost couldn't recognize each other. Both the wives have put on weight and aged, and looked so different from those days. That showed how time flies by. We have a lot to catch up with one another.
By the time we reached Ipoh, it was about 3.50 pm.
The sky was grey with low floating clouds. There was a slight drizzle.
It was almost 4 hours after our lunch and hubby mentioned that it would be great to have a cup of coffee. I totally agreed with him but where do we get good coffee at that time of day.
Lim Ko Pi came to my mind and hubby agreed.
No problem with parking at this part of town on a Sunday afternoon.
When we entered, we found we were the only customers.
We both wanted coffee and some snacks. Our orders were taken.
The photos didn't turn out well due to the not so bright lighting.
I like this old fashioned enamel mug used for holding chopstick, forks and spoons.
Feeling free to snap photos since we were the only customers.
The last time we were here was a long time ago.
Hubby's non-sweetened black coffee.
It was served with 2 pieces of cream crackers.
Non-sweetened white coffee for me.
Coffee with cream crackers is a great combination.
Authentic thick coffee (kopi kaw kaw) for coffee lovers.
One more item which I enjoyed very much. Lol!
2 pieces of steamed buns (mantao), 1 for hubby and 1 for me!
Soft spongy steamed wholemeal mantao.
Creamy curry gravy dipping for the mantao. This enamel plate reminds me of the good old days especially when it is a little chipped here and there.
Menus displayed at the front of the shop.
Business hours: 8 am - 5.30 pm, Tuesdays - Sundays
Closed on Mondays.

Such is the destiny of all who forget God;
so perishes the hope of the godless.
What they trust in is fragile;
what they rely on is a spider's web.
They lean on the web, but it gives way;
they cling to it, but it does not hold.

    2. Yes it is natural to grow older but we are supposed to look at their inner beauty since we ourselves are also much older now.
