Lunch For 3 At Restoran J. J. Fatt, Lawan Kuda, Gopeng.

Last Sunday after attending church, we drove straight to Gopeng for lunch. The previous night, we called up a close friend in Gopeng to inform her that we will be having lunch with her. We reached Gopeng just before 12 midday, picked up our friend from her house and drove to Lawan Kuda. We wanted to try a place where we have not been but it was not open. We then decided on a place we have been before. Lawan Kuda is well known for fresh water Snakehead fish (san yu) dishes. It is common practice to cook 2 dishes with a snakehead fish.
Meaty part of fish for steaming with Chinese herbs
[with Angelica sinensis (dong quai), goji berries (kei chee), etc.]
Deep fried tofu (sui tofu) with minced meat topping and sauce.
Stir fried edible Amaranth greens (yin choy) with garlic.
After the meat has been removed, the remaining parts of the fish was used to boil soup. We requested for drunken fish soup with Chinese herbs and cooking wine added.
 My bowl of soup.

I would love to hear your views on this.
There is this person named A. A loves to watch T.V. show series. She tries not to miss a series of the show. One day some friends drove some 17 km to visit her and invited her out for a meal. If you were her, would you decline the invitation to chase after the T.V. show series or goes out with the friends for the meal and spend some quality time to build relationship with them.

Once so pure, but now diluted like watered-down wine!

  14. I don't watch tv series nowadays but I understand those who do chase them. Couldn't her friends ask her out at a time the tv series are not on air?

    1. I don't know about that. I think very soon very few friends would ask her out if she places her TV series before her friends.

    2. Even my mother and siblings would decline my lunch invitation if it clashes with their TV series.

    3. Or maybe the TV series is just an excuse. She has her own reasons for not wanting to go out. Maybe she has put on weight and aged a lot so she doesn't want to go out.

    4. Whatever the reasons, only she knows. Its her choice and she makes her own decision. Whatever it is, most important is she is happy. Have a wonderful day, Mun!

    5. Yes I agree. Most important is she is happy.

    6. Yes, Mun. Everyone has his or her own free will choice and we have to respect their choices.

  18. I love this wavy fence with the weeping tree hanging over! It is all beautiful! To answer your question... I would go out with the friends while I taped the show. If that were not possible, I would choose to go out and hope I could find the show on computer or rerun.

  19. P.S. We do not like Halloween or anything about it. We never let our son celebrate or go Trick Or Treating. When it was Halloween night, we took him out for pizza to escape the door knocking. I believe Halloween is the opposite of Christmas. Having said that, now that we have grandchildren, we invite them in and do bit of decorating and special food. Being a deacon in church, I even feel bad doing that much. I am posting some decorations I find that are unusual like the dragons, but never any that are satanic. Most churches here have a harvest party for the kids in place of Halloween.

    1. I understand that sometimes it is not easy to avoid such events. The churches here too try to accommodate to attract more people and there are others who complain about their practices.

  20. Oh the food you eat is heavenly. Heavenly.

To your question. I would go out with my friends rather than sit in front of the television. Can't you tape the shows to watch later?

I always enjoy your fences. Some really nice ones.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  27. That fence with the roses on it is so pretty. I think if a friend made a special effort to come and visit me I would pass on the TV. Besides in this day & age you can record shows to watch later or catch them on the Internet so it souldn't be a problem to miss one.
