Thai Cuisine For Lunch At Johnny's Restaurant, Ipoh.

Our latest Golden Girl's outing was two Wednesdays ago. We had no specific venue and someone mentioned that it will be good to try something else besides Chinese cuisine. Since we couldn't think of anything specific, someone suggested going to Aeon Kinta City Shopping Centre where we can take our time to choose what we wanted to eat.

We finally decided on Johnny's Restaurant because we all like Thai cuisine. From the menu, we ordered a few dishes to share.
Seafood Tom Yum Soup - MYR 14.90
I only took this snapshot when the soup has been scooped into 4 small individual bowls.
Green Mango Salad - MYR 9.90
My initial serving of the Green Mango Salad.
2 friends found it too sour but the other 2 enjoyed it.
Tasty Pineapple Fried Rice - MYR 7.90
Stir-Fried Glass Noodle - MYR 8.90
Rice vermicelli soup with dumplings - MYR 9.90
Blanched Kailan - MYR 9.90
We ordered 3 types of sweet dessert but no photos to show. We requested for the desserts to be served later and I completely forgot about taking photos.
1 Banana Split - MYR 8.90, 1 Yam Sago - MYR 4.90
1 Water Coconut with Jack Fruit - MYR 4.90
4 Plain water - MYR 3.20
Our lunch for 4 people including GST = MYR 91.65

After lunch, we stopped at the Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart stall.
None of us have tasted this and we were keen to try it.
A friend bought 5 pieces and got 1 free.
Thanks to this friend, I was blessed with 2 pieces to taste. I like this cheese tart but cannot afford to eat often because it costs almost MYR 6 per piece.

The following photos are for joining Saturday's Critters.
One morning, a big Gold Dragonfly came to visit my garden.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.

Like a refiner of silver he will sit and
closely watch as the dross is burned away.
He will purify the Levites, the ministers of God,
refining them like gold or silver,
so that they will do their work for God with pure hearts.

  7. The family went out for dinner for my wife's birthday. She wanted Chinese but I'll tell you we'll never go back to that place. The prices were crazy. I don't mind paying for good food but not out of this world prices and this place had out of this world prices.
    See ya Nancy.

    1. We too will not go back to those places that over charge for their food and services. We only go to places that serve decent food and charge decent price.

  20. Johnny's is one of my regular mall lunch places. Hubby always has the steamboat and I'd supplement with some other sets. I like the taste overall though the cooking could be inconsistent - had good chicken wings once and bloody-inside ones another.
