Noodle For Breakfast & Home Cooked Dinner.

Good morning, friends! For the past few days there was no rain and the weather is so, so hot! Even sitting under the full swinging fan, I needed a handkerchief to wipe my sweat.
I miss the cool mornings and here are 2 photos taken in 2016.
You can see the mountain tops above the low clouds.
What's For Breakfast
After our morning walk, hubby drove to Menglembu new township, wanting to eat Ban Mee at Restoran Hoo Wan, at Lintasan Kledang Timur 6, Taman Bandar Baru, Ipoh. We haven't been to this shop for a long time. The last time we were here was in September 2016,
Both hubby and I wanted to eat the same thing. We both ordered the dry and spicy version Ban Mee. It had minced pork cooked with strips of wood fungus, crispy fried beancurd and crispy fried anchovies. It also had an egg with a runny yolk.
Then we ordered 2 pieces of sui kow or dumplings. The dumplings were not as thick nor as big as before.
What's for Dinner
We had a home cooked dinner. I found a quarter of a chicken and I had some spiky bitter gourds in my fridge. So there is meat and green.
I used the chicken and bitter gourd to cook 1 dish with garlic, ginger slices, bird's eye chilies and preserved salted black beans. We ate rice with this single dish for dinner.

The following photos are for joining Good Fences.
Found this fence and gate at an industrial area. Looks like this factory has not been occupied as you can see the overgrown grass.
My neighbour's gate and fence.

If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love,
I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.

  1. Fans aren't enough when it's really hot. Need air-con!

Good addition of birds-eye chilli to liven up that dish.

  10. Wow, that fog on the mountains is so low, must be on the ground. So then it is a grounded cloud! The dumplings look so good! Yes, very hot here, too! 90 yesterday and today.

  12. Hot here for us --to still be in SPRING instead of Summer... It is 82 F now at 4 p.m. We don't usually have to turn on our AC until about August --but if it stays hots early, I'll bet we turn ours on sooner this year!!!!!!

The dumplings looks so good. When we eat out occasionally, we will get Chicken and Dumplings... YUM.

    Hugs,
    Betsy

  18. You sound really hot there but hope it wasn’t hot as here, 109 F! The last year pic shows how cool it was with low clouds. Liked the fences of your neighbors and the factory. Great bud
