Yellow Hibiscus, Big Spadix & Bottle Gourds.

Due to the warm weather, my yellow hibiscus plants are doing well and blooming away happily. First, I will show off the multi layers yellow hibiscus. I have 2 pots and both are now blooming non-stop.

Sometimes the flower will turn out like this.

And the true beauty not revealed.

Most of the times, I get to see gorgeous full bloom like this.
Photo #8
Since it is still blooming, I put the trimming on hold.
Photo #9
I saw this plant with big leaves in front of a shop.
Photo #10
It has big spadices like this green one.

And some like this one pointing side way.

A friend saw these gourds in a temple's garden and she took these snapshots to share with me.

I don't know whether these bottle gourds are edible or not but they are a beautiful sight. After curing, these can be used as water bottles or ornaments.

  1. Your Hibiscus are gorgeous!! My favorites are the multi-layer. They are simply too much beauty!! Picture five is so unusual, and perfectly formed! I have never seen gourds shaped like this.

  3. The hibiscus are beautiful, so bright. I'm not getting more of them though since the flower only lasts a day.

I believe the bottle gourds are only for deco.

  11. Hello Nancy!:) Lovely Hibiscus flowers, and they even look pretty if they don't unfurl, as in picture 5, but the multi layered ones are my favourites. I would love a large gourd as a decorative item in my home. Thank you for getting back to me about my flowers.:)
