There is this new stall in the GP Food Court in Taman Pertama and it is selling Nasi Arab Special or Special Arab Rice. This is something new to us and we walked near to look at the picture menu.
We ended up ordering this set. Hubby and I shared this for our lunch.
The rice looks like nasi briyani.
Comes with a bowl of soup and 2 types of sauce for dipping.
A soup with a taste of spices.
And 2 big pieces of mutton baked in foil.
We also shared this bowl of cold dessert - sweet corn with shaved ice.
This is the Nasi Arab Special stall
The stall is in front of the place where they sell Langkap Pau.

These 2 photos are for joining Saturday's Critters.
I was passing this way and saw this cat with a collar. I stopped and it looked at me.
Then the cat went like this! Is it pretending to be dead or is it wanting some stroking and caressing?

Check up on yourselves. Are you really Christian?
Do you pass the test?
Do you feel Christ's presence and power more and more within you?
Or are you just pretending to be Christians
when actually you aren't at all?

That’s a beautiful cat! I just talked to Amber and their man cat, Bandit, got out two days ago. He’s a man cat because Mike is especially attached to him. He never had cats when he was growing up and Amber came with two ‘old lady’ cats she had since her young childhood. They bought died in recent years sowhen the quads wanted a cat.....mike chose. Who knew he was a cat lover at heart?
ReplyDeleteYour food looks delicious! Bet it smelled good too. I really like the picture menu so you know what you’re getting. The neighbors across the street are from Bangladesh and when she cooks, you can smell it all up and down the street. If it taste half as good as it smells I would love to sample!
Hi Linda! Bandit is a nice name for a man cat. I have not tasted any Bangladeshi food yet...I think most of their cooking are spicy ones.
DeleteOh the cat is adorable. I think it was begging for some love. Someone has a very good looking cat.
ReplyDeleteI've never had mutton. Was it good? I'm guessing it was.
Have a fabulous day, Nancy. ☺
I was tempted to stroke the cat but didn't. Didn't want to take the risk of being scratch. I like the baked mutton.
DeleteI love mutton
ReplyDeleteThe cat looks so grouchy LOL
Lol! Good thing it didn't scold me!

DeleteI had some Arab rice at an embassy event here. It was spicier than I'm used to, but good.
ReplyDeleteThe cat is such a cutie pie!
Lol! They are milder than those spicier ones that I am used to.

DeleteNow i will wonder if your version of Arab rice is anything like MawMaw used to cook. When a cat behaves that way, it is usually trying to make friends, and wants you to scratch it on the chin or behind the ears.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mimi. I have to learn more about the behaviour of cats.
DeleteI think the rice looks good...and I think the cat is pretty and wants to be petted.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rose!
DeleteI liked the taste of the spices used for the rice. The cat poses like that to manja manja with you. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI was tempted to pet the cat but was not sure whether it will scratch me.
DeleteThe nasi Arab is good?? Dont think I could find any here or maybe there is, I just have not discover it yet. ^^
