Breakfast At Kedai Kopi Chong Kee, Taman Pertama, Ipoh.

A Christian brother recommended me this coffee shop which sells tasty fish and meat balls some time ago. Finally, one fine morning I remembered this shop and we decided to have breakfast here. There were many customers and most of the tables were taken.
These were what we ate for breakfast that morning.
I took a few pieces of fried goodies. After trying most of the items, now we know which we like.
4 fish balls and 1 meat balls. It turned out that hubby likes the meat ball more than the fish balls.
My bowl of flat rice noodle in clear soup (kway teow).
Hubby's yellow noodle in clear soup.
We would be returning again.
Customers have to pick whatever items/goodies (liew) they want.
Then place your orders with one of the women manning the stall.
Kedai Kopi Chong Kee (2 shops from Kedai Kopi Macau),
Lorong Taman Sembilan, Taman Pertama, Ipoh.
The day started with a lovely breaking of dawn scene at the recreational park (7.13 am) where we go for our early morning walk.

The following photos from my garden are for joining Saturday's Critters.
Can you spot the little bird among my plants?
I think this is the Common Tailor Bird which is a regular guest in my garden.
For the past weeks, it has been making a lot of noise in my garden.
The Tailor Bird was busy preparing a nest with the leaves of my Gardenia plant. I think it prefers the fragrance of the Gardenia flowers.
Look at how the leaves were sewed together to make a nest and how the nest is being sheltered by the above leaves.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

We live within the shadow of the Almighty,
sheltered by the God who is above all gods.
This I declare, that he alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I am trusting him.
For he rescues you from every trap and protects your from the fatal plague.
He will shield you with his wings!
They will shelter you. His faithful promises are your armor.
(Psalm 91:1-2, The Living Bible-TLB)

  14. Hello Nancy!:) What a cute bird with a long tail. I have never seen this bird, or a nest like the Tailor bird's nest. I like the way it is hidden behind the leaf. Please update us with more photos, and perhaps baby Tailor birds in the future.!!:)
