Dinner At Sin Hup Kee Restaurant, Ipoh.

"Where are we going for dinner tonight?" or "What are we going to eat?" We will be looking at each other and waiting for someone to come up with a suggestion. If the weather is hot, the place must be air-conditioned. If the weather is nice and cool, we don't mind having dinner under the open sky.

It was a warm evening and someone suggested Sin Hup Kee restaurant because it is air-conditioned. My earlier visit to this place was in January this year, it was a lunch gathering with my ex-colleagues. So 2 months later, I was looking forward to enjoy their signature assam curry fish and fried chicken.
Assam curry black pomfret fish (without coconut milk) with fried tofu puff, ladies fingers (okra) and long beans, tomatoes. You can substitute the fish with fish head, stingray, etc., depending on what is available.
Deep fried chicken with thick sweet sauce.
Sauteed water spinach or water convolvulus (kangkong).
Total cost of dinner - MYR 73.30 for 4 people.
(incl. hot plain water, white rice & GST)
8 pm - driving on one of the main roads in Ipoh town after dinner.
Day time - very busy with heavy traffic.
Night time - very quiet with light traffic.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything;
tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank him for his answers.
If you do this, you will experience God's peace,
which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.
His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet
and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7, The Living Bible-TLB)

  1. I like your dinner. Very appetizing. Long long time I didn't have Assam curry fish. Hubby doesn't like it so I don't get to eat it.

  3. I wonder if the chicken with thick sauce is marmite chicken. It is one of my favorites!
