Driving All The Way To Lawan Kuda For Dinner At Restoran JJ Fatt.

The places that we usually go for dinner are in and around Ipoh. But there will be times when one of us will suggest some places that are outside of Ipoh. Our latest out of Ipoh dinner with friends was at Restoran J.J. Fatt, main road of Lawan Kuda, Gopeng. This is one of the regular restaurants we will visit whenever we are in the same vicinity or happen to be passing by during meal time.

The restaurants here are known for serving the popular snakehead fish dishes.  Snakehead fish is also known as "san yu in Cantonese" or "ikan haruan in Malay". We usually order one fish and have it cooked in 2 different ways as seen in the following 2 pictures.
Fish meat slices stir fried with dried chilies and sauce.
The remaining bony parts of fish for cooking herbal soup.
Lemon grass chicken.
Paku pakis fern sauteed with spicy prawn paste.
After dinner, we will take a leisure drive back to Ipoh.
The day started with a lovely sunrise @ 7.20 am.
Mid day sky @ 1.25 pm.

The following pictures are for joining Saturday's Critters.
This looks like some kind of grasshopper.
A spotted orange grasshopper?
A tiny insect on my Malabar Spinach leaf.
This looks like the same type of insect found on the Malabar Spinach leaf above.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse
so that there will be food enough in my Temple;
if you do, I will open up the windows of heaven for you and
pour out a blessing so great you won't have room enough to take it in!
"Try it! Let me prove it to you!
Your crops will be large, for I will guard them from insects and plagues.
Your grapes won't shrivel away before they ripen," says the Lord Almighty.
"And all nations will call you blessed,
for you will be a land sparkling with happiness.
These are the promises of the Lord Almighty.
(Malachi 3:10:12, The Living Bible-TLB)
