Vegetarian Dinner At Restoran Jiu Jiu Fu (99), Ipoh.

A close relative was in town and she called to invite us to join them for a vegetarian dinner. She mentioned that the restaurant is near to the Tesco Extra in Ipoh Garden. Even though it was the first visit for hubby and I, we have no problem locating the restaurant.

The ordering of food was left to her husband and according to him, he just ordered whatever sounds good and as recommended to him by the one taking down the orders. The rest of us were busy updating one another. I will give my personal description of the food we ate.
Sweet sour deep fried tofu topped with mock minced meat.
Crispy deep fried bean curd skin with goji berries.
Sauteed cabbage cooked with slices of mock meat.
Vegetarian assam fish with okra or ladies fingers.
Stir fried bean sprout and mock salted fish.
Sauteed Green Amaranth with goji berries.
Decoration on the wall next to where we were seated.

    1. Not easy to follow a meatless diet. We still need meat in smaller portions.

  15. Beautiful sunrise. The food is intriguing. I have not eaten that much tofu and no mock fish or meat. But I would give it a try. Always love that you have a scripture.

  19. Vegetarian is supposed to be more healthful...but, doesn't the deep frying work against that? In any event, it sure looks delicious!

  22. For vegetarian, I'm happy enough with economy-rice-style, i.e. cheap hehe. If I pay more I'd much rather have meat.
