A close relative was in town and she called to invite us to join them for a vegetarian dinner. She mentioned that the restaurant is near to the Tesco Extra in Ipoh Garden. Even though it was the first visit for hubby and I, we have no problem locating the restaurant.
The ordering of food was left to her husband and according to him, he just ordered whatever sounds good and as recommended to him by the one taking down the orders. The rest of us were busy updating one another. I will give my personal description of the food we ate.

Delete...I know that eating a vegetarian diet is good for you, but I like meat.
ReplyDeleteNot easy to follow a meatless diet. We still need meat in smaller portions.
DeleteI'm sorry, I love vegetables but they need to be with meat or fish.
ReplyDeleteSee ya Nancy.

DeleteBeautiful sunrise. The food is intriguing. I have not eaten that much tofu and no mock fish or meat. But I would give it a try. Always love that you have a scripture.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Yogi! Tofu is their source of protein!

ReplyDeleteMe too! Yin choy is rich in minerals!
DeleteVegetarian is supposed to be more healthful...but, doesn't the deep frying work against that? In any event, it sure looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteThe vegetarian restaurants do offer more choices for their customers.
DeleteSuch interesting food photos! I don't believe we have anything like those dishes in southeastern Alberta, but if you have them in Nancy, we might have them here.

DeleteI've never had these meat substitutes, but your photographs made them look very tasty.
ReplyDeleteThey look almost like the real thing but taste wise very different!
DeleteFor vegetarian, I'm happy enough with economy-rice-style, i.e. cheap hehe. If I pay more I'd much rather have meat.
ReplyDeleteVegetarian food is more expensive than non vegetarian food.
DeleteNice flower painting
