Most days the temperature is between 30 to 33 deg. C.
This was the morning sky view at 7.43 am.
 Evening sky at 7.26 pm
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world.
God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.
It burst forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding.
It rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race.
The sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its course to the other end.
Nothing can hide from its heat.

The monthly menstruation or monthly period that every woman has usually last for about an average of 3 to 5 days. The average age for a girl to get her first period is about 12, and will continue to about the age 45 to 55 years or later. Some will experience light, moderate, or heavy flow and period usually last between 2 to 7 days.

Nature has a way of preparing women for their monthly period with the premenstrual syndrome. Premenstrual syndrome or PMS are symptoms women may experience a few days before her period. There could be feeling of cramps, bloating, mood swings, headaches, tender breasts, etc.

Muah Chee or Glutinous Rice Snack With Peanut & Sugar In Ipoh Old Town

It was a Saturday morning and we had breakfast with friends. After breakfast, we drove through this part of Ipoh old town and there in front of Kedai Makanan Nam Heong, Jalan Bandar Timah, I saw this stall selling "ma chi" or "muah chee". This glutinious rice snack coated with peanut and sugar is one of my favourite snacks.

I quickly told hubby to pull the car over to the side. We just had breakfast but I must have a taste of the "muah chee" snack!
I bought a small packet @ RM 3.50 to share with my friends.
The stall is operated by 2 sisters and it is only opened during the weekend.
Will be back again for the "muah chee"

We went to get some fertilizer and we saw an interesting tree outside the gate.
Flowers on the tree.
Berries on the tree.
Bright red berries on the tree.
When asked, no one knows the identity of the berries or whether the berries are edible.
Inside the compound, we saw these white bitter gourds hanging on their vines. White bitter gourd is very rare and not sold in the markets or stores.
Fortunately, there was 1 last packet of seeds available. I bought that packet and the seeds have sprouted and now growing in a pot in my garden. I was told that this is the Taiwan bitter gourd.

The following photos are for joining Saturday's Critters.
Thanks to my friend for sharing these photos with me.
She found this baby kingfisher bird in her garden.
Before the cats could get to the bird, she quickly rescued it and brought her into her house.
Just look at the strong beak and big black eyes.
My friend bought crickets from the pets shop to feed this bird.
The kingfisher took a look at the crickets
It flew down to pick up one with its beak.
Then it flew back up before swallowing the cricket.
Ah! A beautiful pose!
This picture was taken before it was set free to live a free life.

You have died with Christ,
and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world.
So why do you keep on following the rules of the world,
such as, "Don't handle! Don't taste! Don't touch"?
Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them.
These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion,
pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline.
But they provide no help in conquering a person's evil desires.

Drunken Prawn Soup For Dinner

I had one packet of prawns sitting in the freezer. I also harvested 2 white eggplants or white brinjals and some sweet potato leaves. What is the simplest recipe to cook the prawns? Should I pan fry the prawns? Should I steamed the prawns? Or should I cook drunken prawn soup? Hmmm... I would like to try drunken prawn soup but will it taste good? Okay! If I don't try, then I wouldn't know.
My drunken prawn soup!
Fry the ginger slices with a little sesame seed oil till slightly brown.
Add 2 bowl of water (just enough for 2 bowls of soup).
Let it boil over low fire to extract the flavour from the ginger.
Add the prawns with shells removed.
When the soup started to boil again, add salt and sugar to taste.
Then add the preferred amount of Chinese cooking wine to the soup.
When the soup started to boil again, off the fire.
Hubby and I enjoyed the prawn soup very much.
We finished off every drop of the soup and all the prawns.
Blanched sweet potato leaves surrounded by blanched white eggplants.
Lazy me just drizzled a bit of soya sauce over the dish.
Steamed Ponni rice for 2 people.
That was my simple home cooked dinner for 2.

The following morning sky photos are for joining Skywatch Friday.
Took these photos at the recreational park.
This view is opposite the rising sun at 7.15 am.
View of the Kledang hills.
On the opposite side, the rising sun blocked by dark clouds at 7.30 am.
7.30 am - dark clouds looming over Klendang hills.
8.20 am - low clouds descending on the hills.
Heavy downpour and strong wind at 3 pm.
The strong wind did this damage to my plant.
My yellow buttercup flower plant broke and had to be cut off.

Minced Pork With Salted Fish & Sauteed Zucchini For Dinner.

On this particular morning, we didn't go for our morning walk because I have to send hubby to the railway station to catch the train to Kuala Lumpur.
This view (7.30 am) greeted me when I opened the gate to reverse the car.
It was a day trip and I was at the railway station in the evening (6.30 pm) to pick him up.
The train was delayed and I took a walk in the park in front of the station. I walked over to check the Ipoh tree, newly planted to replace the one that was uprooted by a storm.
The tree was planted on the 21st Feb. 2018.

Hubby came back from K.L. with some "mui heong" salted fish. A friend brought the salted fish all the way from Kuantan as a gift.
I used some of the salted fish to cook the next evening's dinner.
Steamed minced pork with "mui heong" salted fish.
I mixed the minced pork with a little sesame oil, Chinese cooking wine, cornflour, a little water, and a little oyster sauce. I cut the salted fish into small pieces, placed them on the minced pork and topped with ginger strips
Sauteed yellow zucchini and carrot with dried shrimps and garlic.
This is the first time I have seen and cooked a yellow zucchini.
The zucchini was given by friend who visited a vegetable farm.
When there is a salted fish dish, we need to have rice to go with it.

Glutinous Rice (Loh Mai Kai) For Breakfast & My Garden Flowers

One morning we went to a coffee shop where we used to order our favourite curry noodle (dry version). Hubby as usual ordered the "messy" dry version curry noodle with curry chicken and bbq pork. As for me, I had this appetite for "loh mai kai" or the steamed glutinous rice with chicken and bbq pork. I requested it to be served with curry gravy.
Loh mai kai served with curry gravy. Sometimes, they will serve the curry gravy separately.
Hope I can remember to request for the curry to be served separately the next time I ordered this. It was a nice, satisfying breakfast.
At this moment, I am missing this "ban mee" breakfast. Its been a long time I haven't eaten this.
For lunch, hubby and I had boiled groundnuts.
Groundnuts washed clean and boiled in water with a little salt to taste. I used pressure cooker to save time and gas. Cook till the groundnut are soft, then sieve out the groundnuts.
I found this little heart shaped groundnuts. So cute!
I opened the shell and found two nuts inside.

[Faith under pressure]
Consider it a sheer gift, friends,
when tests and challenges come at you from all sides.
You know that under pressure,
your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors.
So don't try to get out of anything prematurely.
Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed,
not deficient in any way.
