From Ayer Itam, our next stop was in Pulau Tikus. We stopped for an early lunch before we checked out from the hotel.
Pulau Tikus Police Station.
2 tubs coconut jelly
We stopped at one of the many roadside stalls to buy some foodstuffs.
1 tub sweet and spicy tempe (fermented soya bean) with peanuts.
1 tub Nyonya acar (vegetable pickles).
With the above foodstuffs, we walked to the fried noodle shop that our friend took us. We have been to this same shop on our previous trip in Penang. I don't know the name of the shop.
A plate of char koay teow with prawns, Chinese sausage, beansprout, and duck egg.

All the above (including the coconut jelly, not in the photo) were shared by the 4 of us.

We took the following photos in the morning when we took a walk around the hotel.
Hin Bus Depot, 31A, Jalan Gurdwara, George Town, Penang.
(opposite the Neo Hotel where we stayed)
This old bus depot was built in 1947 to house and maintain Hin Company Ltd's "blue buses". The motorbuses were introduced by the colonial government to restore George Town in the aftermath of World War II. When the company closed down, the building was left empty for many years.
This old depot was finally chosen and cleaned up to host the exhibition of Ernest Zacharevic's work, titled "Art Is Rubbish Is Art", featuring discard and pre-loved items. Zacharevic's murals can be seen along the heritage streets of Penang, Ipoh, and elsewhere. Today, there is an art gallery, space for events, garden and exhibits murals by Zacharevic and other artists. I only came to know about this place after I googled for information and hopefully we will be able to visit this place on our next visit to Penang.
After we checked out from the hotel, we went for another round of durians. Then we went to shop for some snacks to take home and finally left Penang after 4pm. Goodbye Penang until we visit again.
For if you wander beyond the teaching of Christ,
you will leave God behind;
while if you are loyal to Christ's teachings,
you will have God too.
Then you will have both the Father and the Son.
