Dinner At Restoran Kiew Yee Baru, Kuala Lumpur.

A friend has suggested a few eateries to us but some were quite out of the way and not convenient for us to walk to and fro. On the second night, we chose one of the nearest eatery.
Steamed Tilapia with blended ginger paste.
This snapshot was taken after we had started eating. The top left is their signature dish - tofu with fish paste balls. The top right is the steamed pork belly with preserved salted veggie (mui choy kau yoke). And the last one is the lettuce veggie.
We had our dinner here at Restoran Kiew Yee Baru,
Jalan Tun H.S. Lee, City Centre, Kuala Lumpur.
Another eatery next to Restoran Kiew Yee Baru.
Before dinner ended, we had in mind something good for supper.
We will be going back to Petaling Street!

Coffee Fellowship At Leaf & Co. Cafe, Jalan Sultan, K. Lumpur.

After the 2nd day's conference ended at 4pm, hubby and I decided to go back to the hostel to take a rest. We informed our group of young people that they can go ahead with their own programs and not worry about hubby and I. We know the way to Petaling Street and we will be able to find something for dinner. It is understandable that they will want some young people time together without having to include us, the elderly couple all the time! Lol!

A short while later, we received a call from our young lady friend that they were at the Leaf & Co. Cafe and whether we would like to join them for some coffee. I remembered we passed by this place the previous day on the way to the hostel, our young lady friend caught a whiff of the wonderful aroma of fresh coffee.
Since it was too early for dinner, we accepted the invitation to join the young people at the cafe.
Enjoying the wonderful company of the young people.
One young man ordered this Rose Mint Tea - MYR 12.
The tea set consists of a cute glass teapot, honey in a tiny container, a cup and a saucer with a teaspoon. The tea set was served on a wooden tray which resembles a cutting board.
1 Lemonade - MYR 10
1 Roasted Hazelnut Latte (cold) - MYR 13.50.
1 Roasted Hazelnut Latte (hot) - MYR 12.
1 Latte (hot) - MYR 11.
2 glasses of Lemon Passionfruit @ MYR 10 each.
2 pieces of Belgium Chocolate Cake @ MYR 12 each.
 1 Japanese Cheese Cake @ MYR 12.
 1 Salted Egg Croissant @ MYR 9.50
The croissant cut open to reveal the salted egg filling flowing out.
So, what is the review for the salted egg croissant?
From this snapshot, no word is needed for the review! Yums....
This is to show how yummy-licious the salted egg croissant was!
 There is a 10 % service charge and a 6 % GST.
A small aluminium bucket to hold the utensils.
A group photo for the album for sweet memory.
To all these lovely young people -
Thank you for the sweet fellowship and your refreshing company!

Curry Laksa At Madras Lane, Petaling Street.

Due to all the walking done on the first day, I slept soundly on the first night. I set the alarm to wake me up early so that I can take my time to go through my morning routine. I even had time to take some snapshots from my room window.
Sunrise and view from my hostel room.
Maybank tower on the left and KL tower in the centre.
Sun rising from behind the high rise buildings.
We have to go through Petaling Street to get to our breakfast destination.
After walking through the wet market, we have reached our destination.
Just look at all the ingredients for the Assam Laksa.
There are many breakfast choices to choose from.
Open air seating under the big umbrellas.
This is the famous Madras Lane Curry Laksa (curry noodle).
Generous portion of bean curd puffs, long bean and cockles.
The cockles all ended up in hubby's bowl.
Hubby's curry laksa with pork skin.
I really enjoyed the fried bean curd puffs (tau fo pok).
Don't know when will I get the chance to taste this delicious curry laksa again.
You need to squeeze the juice from one or two limes to the curry laksa for the extra oomph!
Some roast pork to go with the curry laksa.
You can add this to your bowl of curry laksa if it is not spicy enough.
A plate of "chee cheong fun" for those who doesn't like spicy food.
The black coffee here is good!
Walking to KL Wesley, the conference venue.
We had a full day conference session from 9 am to 4 pm.
1 heart 2 reach Out.
Morning tea and lunch provided. For lunch we had chicken rice prepacked from The Chicken Rice Shop.

Being punished isn't enjoyable while it is happening - it hurts!

But afterwards we can see the result,

a quiet growth in grace and character.

So take an new grip with your tired hands,

stand firm on your shaky legs, and mark out a straight,

smooth path for your feet so that those who follow you,

though weak and lame, will not fall and

hurt themselves but become strong.

Delicious Laksa For Supper At Petaling Street.

It was a blessing to be in the company of some wonderful young adults who are almost half our age (hubby and I). And the best thing of all is that we all enjoy food! The topic on supper was being discussed even before we finished our dinner. After dinner which was about 7 pm, we walked back to our hostel to rest and by 9 pm plus, we were walking out to Petaling Street again. We knew what we wanted to eat and the young people led the way to this laksa stall. I didn't take a snapshot of the stall but I did remember to take snapshots of our bowl of yummy-licious laksa!
Hubby and I shared this bowl of Assam Laksa with a piece of crispy fried beancurd roll. Just look at the generous amount of fish meat.
Due to the poor lighting, the broth may not look good but in actuality, it was tasty.
Walking towards Petaling Street.
The night market is packed with tourists and locals.
Both sides of the street is lined with stalls set up by the vendors selling all kinds of stuffs.
We didn't buy anything from Petaling Street except looking for food. We left behind countless of footprints on Petaling Street during our 3D2N stay.
Stained glass windows of a church next to the hostel.

One of them was Lydia, a saleswoman from Thyatira,

and she accepted all that Paul was saying.
