This was a Sunday (yesterday), so instead of morning walk, we were preparing to attend Sunday church service.

Curry Noodle & Clear Soup Noodle At Kedai Kopi Ah Chow, Ipoh
Sunrise at 7:35am
We were on the way out to Ipoh old town for breakfast at Kedai Kopi Ah Chow.
Rice vermicelli with bbq pork, chicken and prawns in clear soup for me. The prawns were hidden under the noodle.
Hubby ordered curry noodle (dry version) but he didn't specify "dry version", so he was served the usual curry noodle. Poor me drooling over the curry noodle. I am still being a good girl, refraining from spicy food.

We attended 2 church services at different churches and after the 2nd church service, we attended a sponsored buffet lunch at one of the Salvation Home For The Aged near our area. It was a triple celebration (Christmas, New Year 2023 & Chinese New Year).

Home cooked dinner.
I finally get to cut down and cleared the bottle gourd vines from my garden. Ingredients for boiling soup: Half bottle gourd, 1 corn on cob, carrot and soft bones.
Hubby's bowl of soup without carrot.
My bowl of soup without the corn. I love corn but have to avoid because it may cause indigestion and wind/gas.
I harvested some home grown siew pak choy or bok choy from the garden. I just plain blanched it.
This is fermented beancurd (fu yue). This is hubby's favourite whenever I cook porridge at home. Recently, I found a way to enjoy this with my rice. I just take a cube and mix it with my steamed brown rice so that I don't get the flat taste in my mouth.

I found the following mural in the Heritage Town Cafe Gopeng which we visited in June, 2022.
Some chairs covered with black plastic were blocking part of the mural.
Hope to revisit Gopeng soon in the near future.

Some Of My Breakfast Food
I am running out of food photos to post because I have been eating more or else the same food that I have posted before.
Loh mai kai or steamed glutinous rice with chicken from the drink section in Restoran Yee Lock in Ipoh new town.
One of our favourite curry noodles from Kedai Kopi Ah Chow in Ipoh old town.
We also like the garlic bread from the drink section.
Due to my poor digestion or gastric problem, I have to go on a bland diet. No coffee, tea, spicy or sour food and no fried stuffs. I have to be a good girl and obey the doctor's instruction. Hopefully, I will recover soon because I am getting bored with the bland diet.
Flower of the Aglaonema Pink Lady.
This is hubby's vertical garden project, growing lettuce.
I received some miniature purple brinjal or eggplant from a friend.
The green brinjal is from my garden.
Whenever I don't feel like going out to eat, I will think of frying rice with onions, dried shrimps and egg.
This is the City Hall in Penang.
From the internet: It was completed in 1903. This 2-storey building combines Edwardian Baroque and Palladian architectural styles. It has been listed as a national monument since 1982 under the Antiquities Act 1976. The building was last renovated between 2004 and 2005. Although the City Hall retains much of its original form, the original arcades or loggias on the ground floor have been enclosed with windows.
Let me share in the prosperity of your chosen ones.
Let me rejoice in the joy of your people;
let me praise you with those who are your heritage.

Enoki Mushroom & Blanched Nai Pak Choy
The sky looks dark and felt like it was going to rain anytime soon.
Morning sky at 6:45am.
6:50am.
We decided to drive out to town for breakfast.
7am.
Hubby was looking forward to his favourite curry noodle.
7:05am.
Not much traffic at this time.
7:10am.
Looking forward to having breakfast at Kedai Kopi Ah Chow, Ipoh old town.
Hubby's dry curry noodle (yellow noodle).
This round, I ordered the prawn noodle.
For extra oomph, I poured the whole plate of sambal into the bowl of prawn noodle.
Back home, I harvested the remaining nai pak choy from hubby's vertical garden.
For dinner, I blanched the nai pak choy and enoki mushrooms, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Our dinner consisted of brown rice porridge and the blanched nai pak choy and enoki mushrooms. This simple dinner is enough to fill our tummy. Just before retiring for the night, we each had a cup of hot milo-o (just plain milo with any sweentener).

Hallelujah! Thank you, Lord! How good you are!
Your love for us continues on forever.
Who can ever list the glorious miracles of God?
Who can ever praise him half enough?

Breakfast At Restoran Sun Heng Kee, Ipoh
We have been skipping our morning walk on and off for almost more than 2 weeks due to the rainy weather. One particular morning, the sky looked like it was going to rain, so we decided to drive out to town for breakfast. We decided to try out the food at Restoran Sun Heng Kee which we haven't been to.
1st breakfast on a Monday morning.
After checking out all the stalls, I decided to ordered chicken wine soup with wheat noodle (meesua).
Hubby ordered flat rice noodle with egg gravy (wan tan hor).
The 1st day's breakfast was good.
2 days later, we went back to the same place for breakfast.
This time, hubby wanted to try the curry noodle as he saw many customers ordering it.
And I wanted to try the assam laksa from the same stall as the curry noodle. Between the 1st and 2nd day, we enjoyed the 1st day's breakfast more. Since this is a rainy season, we may have many opportunities to try out the places which we haven't been to.

According to the writing above, the food stalls have been in operation since 1973 in one of the side alleys. They are now located permanently at Diamond Cafe, Jalan Tranchell, Menglembu. The curry noodle business has been handed down to the 3rd generation.

God has sent me to help his Church
and to tell his secret plan to you Gentiles.
He has kept this secret for centuries and generations past,
but now at last it has pleased him to tell it to those who love him
and live for him, and the riches and
glory of his plan are for you Gentiles, too.
And this is the secret: Christ in your hearts is your only hope of glory.

Attractive White Flower Of Bottle Gourd
I finally get to see the white flower of the bottle gourd plant and get to take some snap shots of the attractive white flower.
Fan like green leaves of the bottle gourd plants.
Bud of the bottle gourd plant.
Usually the flowers are facing upwards above my head so I couldn't see or take good photos of the flowers. This flower happened to be at the edge of the trellis where I can see it clearly.
These are some of the bottle gourds harvested from my garden.
This is still growing well even in this rainy season.

Breakfast at Kedai Kopi Ah Chow, Ipoh old town on a Thursday morning, 2 days before General Election (GE15). Elder son reached home in the wee hours of the morning and he wanted to catch up on his sleep.
Dry curry noodle for hubby.
Tom yam noodle for me.
