Yummy Hakka Noodles At Restoran Hakka, Pasir Puteh, Ipoh.

One morning after our early morning walk, I mentioned that I felt like eating Hakka noodle. I meant the Hakka noodle at Restoran Hakka in Pasir Puteh, same row as the Restoran Pusing Public. We have to be there early to find seats because it is usually packed in the early morning. If we are late, we will be disappointed because the food will be sold out.
Authentic Hakka noodle with diced meat pieces and fat, crunchy bean sprouts.
Deep fried meat balls, dumplings and stuffed eggplant/brinjal.
Meat balls, fish balls and stuffed tofu in clear soup.
The coffee shop lady is one fussy person and she is not even old. She will insists that customers share table to fill up the seats. A couple was not pleased when told to move to join another table.
Customers queuing up at the stall to order their food.

Dinner Before Church At O-Cafe, Canning Garden, Ipoh.

It was a Saturday and most Saturdays, we attended the evening's church worship service. We had a friend with us and we wanted to eat something different from the usual hawker food. O Cafe came to my mind and when I suggested the place, everyone agreed because we have not been there for a long time. It is a nice and cosy place serving home cooked food. Food is nice and taste wise, is to our liking. Since the food portion is small, we can order more to taste and share.
Spicy and savoury brinjal or eggplant with minced meat.
Four angled beans or winged beans with spicy prawn paste.
Drunken chicken soup.
Looking at these 2 dishes increased my appetite!
We couldn't stop at 3 dishes, so we added a stewed sweet sour pork rib.
Altogether 4 dishes for 3 people.
3 plates of healthy organic rice.
Total cost of dinner including plain water - MYR 53.60
If you want some sweet dessert e.g. cakes and jellies, they have them too.
Free to take a shot as no customers seated here yet.
Entrance through the glass door on the left.

The evening sky at 7.30 pm was still bright and clear.

But we Christians have no veil over our faces;
we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord.
And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us,
we become more and more like him.

Breakfast At Chef Yeong Eatery, Jalan Centrepoint 2, Ipoh.

2 Mondays ago hubby wanted to eat chicken soup noodle but when we reached Jalan Tokong, the coffee shop was closed. Since we were there, we looked around the vicinity for another place to have our breakfast. A short distance away, we saw a new eatery enjoying good business and we decided to join in the crowd. After we have seated, we referred to the menus that were placed on the table. This is a place serving homemade noodles. Someone then came to take down our orders.

2 cups of unsweetened hot black coffee.

The food pictures in the menu look similar to those of Something Special Cafe. I wondered if they are of the same management.

Picking Broad Beans Or Kacang Parang, Cameron Highlands.

By the time we finished our lunch at Tringkap Restaurant, it was about 1.30 pm. Our friend suggested making one more stop at the Last Stop. If I am not mistaken, this is called the Last Stop, Cameron Highlands. We were glad we stopped here because we get to hand picked some broad beans or kacang parang in Malay. It was selling at MYR 10 per kilo.
We were each given a plastic bag and a pair of scissors to pick the beans.
It was fun and we get to choose the beans we wanted.
After we have picked the broad beans or kacang parang, we came upon these fruits called Cameron Apples, selling at MYR 8 per kilo. I regretted not buying some to taste because I have not tasted these fruits before.
There were also lots of passion fruits hanging overhead.
 Big Hydrangea cluster
 Pale Blue Hydrangea.
Customers can also pick their own strawberries.
 Vegetable seedlings.
These were the broad beans I picked and bought.
Bought a bundle of Dragon Beard veggie for MYR 2.
(Loong soh choy in Cantonese)
We stopped at a friend's wholesaler place to buy these.
Squash or pumpking? Selling at MYR 8 (if I remember correctly)
I also bought these 4 sweet corns selling at MYR 3.50 per piece.
I removed the outer covering and I steamed them for our lunch.
And I cooked the broad beans with some ladies fingers (okra) harvested from my own garden. I used dried shimps, some prawn paste, some bird's eye chilies and garlic.
By the time we were ready to leave for the lowland, it was about 2.20 pm. By then the sky had turn dark.
After a short distance, it started to pour and it was raining heavily for most part of the journey. The rain only stopped just before we reach Simpang Pulai.
Thank God for clear vision in spite of the heavy rain and safe journey all the way home.
My constant boast is God. I can never thank you enough!
