Mix Pork Porridge With Fish & Prawns + Pineapple Curry

After we had finished our early morning walk, we bought 3 packets of fried rice vermicelli (Indian style) from the roadside stall. Then we walked to our regular coffee shop, gave 1 packet to our friend. We ordered our coffee and ate the fried vermicelli there.
We love the sweet and spicy sambal and we requested for extra sambal.
Walking home, I stopped to take a snapshot of this dark pink hibiscus by the roadside.
In my garden, I used plastic to wrap the figs. I chose plastic because it is easier to see when the figs are ripe for picking.
This is the only way I can think of to protect the figs from the birds.
~~~~~
Lunch with friends.
We wanted to introduce this porridge to our friend and her hubby. We went to pick them from their house and brought them to Restoran Kar Heng, Ipoh.
We ordered 4 bowls of mixed pork porridge minus the blood curd. They forgot and included the blood curd. We didn't make a fuss, just put them aside. We like the crispy fried intestine.
We ordered fried fish for sharing.
We also ordered stewed/steamed fish for sharing.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
I decided to cooked prawns and pineapple curry using a ready made paste.
This time, I bought this A1 instant curry paste to try.
I love this appetizing prawns and pineapple curry.
That afternoon, I noticed that this yellow hibiscus had a faded yellow colour which is very unusual.

Lovely sunrise shots taken at the lake park about 2 weeks ago.
6:40 am
Can you see the moon?
The moon can still be seen in this pic.

Sunrise at 7:06 am.
Taken from where we were seated at the coffee shop.
Took this snapshot of the sun on the Kledang Hill on our walk home.

Let the waves clap their hands in glee
and the hills sing out their songs of joy before the Lord,
for he is coming to judge the world with perfect justice.

Salted Eggs, Stuffed Home Grown Eggplant & Bitter Gourd

We woke up early and were out of our house for the morning walk at about 6:30 am.
Grateful for the bright light that brightens up the streets for us.
That is hubby walking ahead of me while I was taking some shadow shots.
We each had a metal stick. The stray dogs are smart. When they see us holding stick, they stay away.
Testing out the pathway that nobody seems to be using. For the time being, we prefer to walk where there is less crowd.
~~~~~
Breakfast with friends.
We took our friends to Restoran 1010 for Hor Hee noodles. We couldn't get a table for 4 people so we have to take 2 small tables.
I love to add bird's eye chilies to my noodle.
~~~~~
I received a call from a friend to collect some durians from her house.
These are hill durians which her husband bought and kept some for us.
The colour of the durian flesh may be pale but the taste is good.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner
I made stuffed eggplant (white brinjals) and white bitter gourds with minced pork mixed with fish paste.
I used the excess minced pork + fish paste mixture to make patties.
Steamed white eggplant or white brinjals.
Serve it with dried prawn sambal.
I cooked 2 home made salted eggs. These 2 are from the 2nd batch home made salted eggs. One egg turned out very nicely. The 2nd one didn't look good, probably the egg was not fresh. Taste wise, it was not as nice as the other good egg.
For dinner, I boiled rice porridge. We finished the steamed eggplant and salted eggs.
Kept most of stuffed eggplants, stuffed bitter gourd and patties for next day's dinner.
Linking to Good Fences.
He personally carried the load of our sins in his own body
when he died on the cross so that we can be finished with sin
and live a good life from now on.
For his wounds have healed ours!
Our friends found a coffee shop in Bercham that serves good coffee and good food. After our morning walk, we drove to our friend's house, and then proceeded to Bercham. We are required to write down our names and contact numbers or scan the QR code provided before entering the coffee shop. We found a table that can accommodate 4 people.
Can't you hear the voice of wisdom?
She is standing at the city gates and at every fork in the road,
and at the door of every house.
Listen to what she says: "Listen, men!" she calls.
"How foolish and naive you are! Let me give you understanding.
O foolish ones, let me show you common sense!
Ad Painter & Shutter - Wood Art Craft Museum, Ipoh
Few days ago, I did a post on the Wood Art Craft Museum in Ipoh old town here. That is the 1st part of our visit and today's post is about the remaining part. From the Chinese Tea Leaves shop, we went up the stairs to the 1st floor.  From there we were able to come down the stairs of the next door shop.
If you are coming from Ipoh new town using Jalan Sultan Iskandar (former Hugh Low Street), you will have to cross a bridge. From the bridge, you will be able to see this shop sign "Pooi Lee Pelukis Iklan Dan Bidai" on your right side. This shop specialized in Ad painting and shutter. Plus, you will notice that the 1st floor wooden windows of the first and second shop are painted in blue.
If you were to enter through the front, this wooden sculpture will be there to greet and welcome you. Entrance is free.
More wood craft from the 1st floor of both shops.
Wooden racks on the left and meat safe on the right.
Saw this front and back view of a block of wood, a tree trunk at the back lane of the shops.
