On Wednesday, we had a breakfast date with our friend and her husband. We drove to her house to pick them and drove to Restoran Xin Xiang Er Nong at Jalan Tokong, Ipoh. Most of the tables can only sit 2 people. Fortunately, as I walked further in, I found 2 small tables joined together to accommodate 4 people.
We ordered 4 bowls of pan mee (handmade noodles).
We requested for 1 sui kao (dumpling) to be added to each bowl.
I saw some Nyonya kuih displayed next to the cash counter near to where I was seated. The kuih all look good and delicious so I bought 2 sets of kuih talam + kuih bingka. I gave 1 set of kuih to my friend.

On Monday, after our visit to Papan Village which I have posted here, we drove further in to check out the waterfall. We didn't even know that there is a waterfall here in Papan until a tourist mentioned it to us.
We drove until this part to watch the water cascades and met someone who works at the Papan Herbal Garden which is further upstream where the Natural Waterfall is. God willing, we may return again to visit the Herbal Garden and Natural Waterfall.
Very quiet and peaceful except for the sound of water cascades.
Enjoyed the cool, fresh air.
We stay long enough to take some snapshots and make our way back to Ipoh.
On our way out, we stopped to watch this monitor lizard taking its own sweet time to cross the road.

Simple home cooked dinner.
I had 1 home grown bitter gourd and spring onion. I decided to cook the bitter gourd with 2 home made salted eggs.
Our simple dinner consists of rice+oat porridge and the bitter gourd salted egg dish.

to find God's best blessings.
Watch out that no bitterness takes root among you,
for as it springs up it causes deep trouble,
hurting many in their spiritual lives.

DeleteIt is so nice to visit the waterfalls. Oh! I am scared of monitor lizard. There was once when a monitor lizard entered my parents' home and it was quite scary when my dad had to chase it out! Luckily the lizard left with no untoward incident.
ReplyDeleteIn order to take this photo, my friend stopped the car for me to get out. I was asked to go nearer for a better photo but I didn't because I was ready to jump back into the car if it turns my way. Lol!
