My Friend Is Temporary Housebound With Her Pet Cat.

It was last Saturday evening when I received a whatsapp message from a friend informing me that she was hospitalized and waiting for surgery. She was taking in the clean laundry from the clothes lines and both arms were hugging the big pile of laundry in front of her, She thought she knew her way well but too bad, she mis-judged her steps and her right foot went into the small drain and she went forward still clutching her clothes with both arms.

Instantly, she felt a terrible sharp pain in her right foot but she got up and hobbled in with the clothes. In spite of the terrible pain, she continue to hang out the rest of the laundry to dry. When the husband returned home for lunch later, he insisted on taking the wife to hospital for an x-ray. The x-ray showed 2 fractured bones in the right foot. Since she has taken lunch, the doctor couldn't do the surgery on her foot. The surgery was postponed to the next day after she had fasted.
Took this sunrise shot on our way out for breakfast after our walking exercise. I had guest over in the morning and I messaged my friend that I could only visit her after lunch.
She sent this photo of her bound up leg to me after she was discharged from the hospital.
Her son opened the front door for me. My friend was sitting on her bed folding the clean laundry. She is one very active lady and couldn't sit still. It will be very boring for her, plus she is the only woman in the house to do all the housework. Beside her on the bed, was the family's pet kitty keeping her company.
This kitty was an abandoned kitty when her husband found her by the roadside.
Kitty's name is Bagheera. An Indian name meaning Black Panther.
Kitty came over to me for some pats and tickles. Then Kitty stuck out its tongue and went back to sleep.
Kitty enjoyed her cat-nap while we chatted.
It started off as an abandoned baby but now is enjoying all the love and care.
Kitty is loved and so pampered, enjoying a good life.
I ended my visit and said goodbye. Kitty didn't even opened its eyes, it just stretched and went back to nap again.

GOD made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before Him.
When I cleaned up my act, He gave me a fresh start.
Indeed, I've kept alert to GOD's ways; I haven't taken God for granted.
Every day I review the ways He works, I try not to miss a trick.
I feel put back together, and I'm watching my step.
GOD rewrote the text of my life when
I opened the book of my heart to His eyes.

Our First Breakfast At Restoran Hao Hao, Menglembu.

The day started with a bright morning. It looked like it was going to be a hot day.
At the recreational park, we were greeted with a "fiery" sunrise. I had to stop in my tracks to take this snapshot. Time was about 7.10 am.

That morning, we wanted to go somewhere new for breakfast. Not actually a new place to us because we have been there for our dinner. New because it was our first time going there for breakfast.
Pre-fried noodle soup (yee meen) in clay pot for hubby. The soup was still boiling in the clay pot when it was brought to our table. Can you see the semi-cooked oink-oink liver? He has not been eating this for a long time. Not a very healthy choice. His excuse - once in a long while...
And what was my breakfast? I took a walk to look at the few stalls and finally came to the last one selling wanton noodles. I was attracted to the picture of the chicken curry. So I settled for wanton noodle with chicken curry.
My plain wanton noodle with some pickled green chili and veg - just normal wanton noodle.
The chicken curry was served separately in a small bowl. It looked red and spicy but it was not very spicy. I enjoyed the potatoes in the curry. Overall, it was a nice breakfast for a change and the prices reasonable.
This photo of Restoran Hao Hao was taken earlier while we were there for dinner. If you are interested, Restoran Hao Hao is at 13-1, Jalan Kledang Timur 1, Bandar Baru Menglembu, Ipoh.

We have very unusual weather since the beginning of this year. Most days we started with very bright and sunny morning and suddenly by afternoon dark clouds appear followed by heavy thunderstorm. A few big trees have been uprooted at the recreational park.

Photo #2 - These photos were taken from the front of my house looking eastward.

Linking to Skywatch Friday.

God makes a huge dome for the sun - a superdome!
The morning sun's a new husband leaping from his honeymoon bed,
The day breaking sun an athlete racing to the tape.
That's how God's Word vaults across the skies from sunrise to sunset,
melting ice, scorching deserts, warming hearts to faith.

Nyonya Kuih For Breakfast At Pusat Makanan Sun Hor Lok, Ipoh.

I didn't feel like eating noodle for breakfast. As usual hubby ordered his usual pork noodle when he is here at Pusat Makanan Sun Hor Lok. I looked around and saw some Nyonya kuih and packed nasi lemak on the tables. The kuih and nasi lemak are sold by the coffee shop boss. This time, I didn't take the nasi lemak but chose to eat the kueh.
I took a packet of black eye bean kuih or cake and a packet of glutinous flour skin with bean paste as filling.
I squeezed the chili sauce onto the 2 pieces of steamed black eye bean cake @ RM 2.
Yellow version of ang koo kuih @ RM 2.
The kueh is packed with bean paste filling.
Hubby's bowl of noodle - minced pork, pork slices & liver slices.
To complete our breakfast with unsweetened hot black coffee for hubby and kopi C which is unsweetened hot coffee with evaporated milk.
Best wishes from my garden. A pic of my Chinese Honeysuckle.

"Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock.
If you hear me call and open the door,
I'll come right in and sit down at supper with you.
Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I,
having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father.
That's my gift to the conquerors!

Sharing Beautiful Flowers And Plants From My Garden.

In today's post I am sharing some photos of flowers and plants from my garden. These photos were taken some time ago. These same flowers are now blooming in my garden and same plants are fruiting like the Okra and Bitter Gourd plants. It had been raining the whole of yesterday, on and off until this morning. At this moment, the sun is shining bright and strong over us here in Ipoh and the current temperature is about 32 deg. C - the best time to stay indoor away from the strong sun.
Pretty Begonia blooming all over my side garden.
These Begonia plants started to sprout during this rainy season.
These were all self seeded and they appear in the wet season.
They can be found growing from the ground in between flower pots.
They can be found growing where they are not stepped on.
They grow wild in my garden, they bloom and the seeds will disperse on its own throughout my garden. The seeds stay dormant and will sprout when the next rainy season starts.
Next are these pretty and little bright yellow flowers of the Bitter Gourd plants.
Some of the flowers will turn into fruits for me to harvest for my dinner.
These are my Okra or Ladies Fingers plants growing in pots.
I have altogether 8 plants. 2 plants growing in each pot.
I have to harvest the fruit before they over matured.
Or else they become hard and fibrous.
 This is the Okra flower.
Love the colour of the Okra flower.
One morning, I can harvest 8 fruits from 8 plants.
Another morning, I get to harvest these fruits.

Linking to Floral Bliss.

For God, who gives seed to the farmer to plant,
and later on good crops to harvest and eat,
will give you more and more seed to plant and
will make it grow so that you can give away
more and more fruit from your harvest.

Steamed Glutinous Rice Chicken & Steamed Dishes For Dinner.

This particular morning we didn't go for our morning walk. We got up early as usual but cancelled our walk because it was drizzling outside. We waited till the rain stopped and we went out for breakfast. It was a cool and gloomy day.
Photo #1 - Sunrise at 7.45 am while driving out to town from home.

Photo #3
Hubby drove to Kedai Kopi Yee Fatt or Yee Fatt Coffee Shop, opposite Methodist Girls' Secondary School.
For a change I wanted to eat this steamed glutinous rice with chicken and Chinese sausage. Hubby ordered the usual dry chicken curry noodle (no curry noodle photo to show).
I love this soft and moist glutinous rice.

No home cooking that evening. Hubby called up to book fish for dinner.
Steamed dishes for dinner at Kedai Kopi Tai Kung or Tai Kung Coffee Shop.
2 pieces steamed grouper fish slices with garlic oil and soy sauce, garnished with green onion.
Steamed pork belly with taro or yam. Love the soft, powdery texture of the yam.
Double steamed yellow cucumber soup.
This was our dinner eaten with white rice.
Evening sky at 6.40 pm on our way home from dinner.
The whole day was cloudy and gloomy.
