Turmeric Rice + Chicken Curry, Prawn Noodle & Toast With Butter+Kaya

Looking through the folder on my desktop, I found some nice sunrise photos. They were taken in August this year.

#1 taken at 6:55am, August 2022.
#2 taken at 7:35am, August 2022.
#3 taken at 7:10am, November 2022.
We are now in the midst of the monsoon season bringing lots of rain, even causing flood in certain areas, causing much suffering to the people and damage to properties.
~~~~~
After our morning walk, we drove to Restoran Meng Meng Kee, at  Kawasan Perindustrian Bandar Baru, Menglembu for breakfast.
Hubby ordered turmeric glutinous rice (nasi kunyit) with chicken curry.
I ordered prawn noodle.
A set of toast for sharing.
We requested for the butter and kaya to be served separately.
~~~~~
We will be going out to cast our votes tomorrow (19th Nov, Saturday). Today and tomorrow has been declared public holidays to encourage those eligible to turn up to vote. There was heavy traffic on the highway. The journey from KL to Ipoh took more than 4 hours for those who chose to travel home this morning.
Political parties' flags, posters and banners can be seen at some locations. This round, there is less flags compared to previous general elections. Tomorrow evening, most of us will be staying home, glued to the television or radio or etc. for the GE15 results.

But you have given us a banner to rally to;
all who love truth will rally to it;
then you can deliver your beloved people.
Use your strong right arm to rescue us.

Lunch At Wong's Kopitiam, Ipoh

This was a Thursday.

Sunrise at 6:55am.
Starting out on our morning walk - 6:55am.
Morning sky at 7:05am.
7:10am
7:15am.
~~~~~
Someone recommended a new kopitiam to us, so hubby and I went to Wong's Kopitiam for lunch. We saw 4 men waiting outside and one of them told us that we will have to wait to be seated. 2 men didn't want to wait and they left. Since we were already there, we might as well wait. We needn't have to wait long, probably about 10 minutes.
Menu for rice or noodles.
Drinks and "tong sui".
I was looking forward to enjoy "bubur cha cha" but was told that it was not available that day. So disappointed.
We didn't order any of the above dessert because there were only 2 of us. While waiting for the food to be served, I took some snapshots from where I was seated.
Side wall.
Back wall. I was seated facing the back.
Behind me.
Floral enamel mug for holding cultery.
Since bubur cha cha was not available, I ordered sweet potato tong sui (sweet potato boiled in water with ginger and sugar added) - RM4.90
Hubby ordered iced lemon tea - RM4.90
Hubby ordered nasi lemak with fried chicken - RM12.90
Hubby enjoyed the nasi lemak and the fried chicken is nice too, not dry.
I didn't want rice, so I ordered fried beehoon with chicken curry - RM12.90
The fried beehoon looks plain but it was nice eaten with the sambal.
Thick and "lemak" chicken curry.
Total lunch = RM37.70
Wong's Kopitiam (opens from 9am to 5pm).
B-G-7, Jalan Dato Tahwil Azhar, Taman Jubilee.
~~~~~
That evening, we had a late dinner at Cheong Kee Wan Tan Mee in Buntong.
We ordered 2 plates of wan tan noodle (dry version).
Dry version is served with some pork strips.
When eating wan tan mee, the pickled green chili is a must have item.
Wan tan (minced pork dumplings) in clear soup (this is plus size).
The dumplings have been reduced to almost half of its former size.

Oh, do not hold us guilty for our former sins!
Let your tenderhearted mercies meet our needs,
for we are brought low to the dust.
Help us, God of our salvation!
Help us for the honor of your name.
Oh, save us and forgive our sins.

Lunch At Restoran Char Siew Yoong, Jalan Peel, Kuala Lumpur

This was the 3rd and last day in Semenyih. At about 11am, we drove out from Semenyih to Cheras. We have arranged to have lunch with elder son at Restoran Char Yoong, Jalan Peel.

We were ahead of the peak lunch hour so we were able to get a big table to accommodate 7 of us. By about 11:45am, customers have to wait to be seated.
We ordered 2 plates of their "melt-in-the mouth" char siew.
The "melt-in-the mouth" part is actually the fat part.
1 plate roast pork with crunchy skin.
Braised chicken feet.
This may seem gross to some but this is hubby's favourite dish. This used to be a cheap dish but now it is considered a delicacy to some people.
2 bowls of sweet sour mustard green aka choy keok.
This place is known for their "melt-in-the mouth" bbq pork or char siew.
Non-stop chopping of roast pork and bbq pork.
After lunch, we were taken to K.L. Sentral where we waited for our train.
We were early so we had some time to enjoy some coffee with our friends.
Thanks to our friends for their time and hospitability during our 3D2N stay with them. Some even took leave to spend time with us.
This was a wonderful and memorable time spent with our friends and our sons.
Our train departed from KL Sentral at 3pm sharp and we reached Ipoh at about 5:45pm. We had dinner at WK Claypot Chicken rice before going home. We didn't want to wait for the claypot rice so we ordered the ready cooked dishes and rice.
Sweet sour pork rib.
Chicken curry.
Sweet sour mustard green.
This is the 2nd time we had this dish but cooked differently.
I saw this antique phone at the lobby of a hotel in Penang that we stayed in.
A new Big Apple nursery & kindergarten in our area. Not sure if this is a new extension to the existing one which is behind this building.

For you have a new life.
It was not passed on to you from your parents,
for the life they gave you will fade away.
This new one will last forever, for it comes from Christ,
God's ever-living Message to men.

Chapati With Mutton And Chicken Curries For Dinner

 Our day started as usual with a morning walk.

8:10am
After morning walk, we drove out to pick up our friends from a car service centre.
While waiting for our friends in front of the car service centre, we watch some cars being unloaded from this car transporter.
We met up with our friends again for dinner at Restoran & Kafe New Weng Fatt in Ipoh Garden.
We ordered the following in small portions from the chapati stall for 4 people to share.
Chicken curry.
Sardine curry.
Potato.
Cabbage
Chicken curry.
Dhall curry.
3 pieces of chapati.
We also ordered 10 sticks of chicken satay (grilled skewered chicken) but forgot to snap photo to show. All the above food is worth going back for.
On the way to our car, we passed by this bike.
I just had to stop to snap these photos.
Next, we drove to the Ipoh Stadium food court for dessert.
Hubby ordered corn cream with shaved ice.
Our friends ordered ice-kacang.
Our friend ordered crispy tofu with cucumber and yam bean salad for sharing.
We all enjoyed this very much.
Also a small plate of Chinese rojak for sharing.

When we ask the Lord's blessing upon our drinking from the cup
of wine at the Lord's Table, this means, doesn't it,
that all who drink it are sharing together the blessing of Christ's blood?
And when we break off pieces of the bread from the loaf
to eat there together, this shows that
we are sharing together in the benefits of his body.
(1 Corinthians 10:16, The Living Bible-TLB)
