Lunch At Wong's Kopitiam, Ipoh

This was a Thursday.

Sunrise at 6:55am.
Starting out on our morning walk - 6:55am.
Morning sky at 7:05am.
7:10am
7:15am.
~~~~~
Someone recommended a new kopitiam to us, so hubby and I went to Wong's Kopitiam for lunch. We saw 4 men waiting outside and one of them told us that we will have to wait to be seated. 2 men didn't want to wait and they left. Since we were already there, we might as well wait. We needn't have to wait long, probably about 10 minutes.
Menu for rice or noodles.
Drinks and "tong sui".
I was looking forward to enjoy "bubur cha cha" but was told that it was not available that day. So disappointed.
We didn't order any of the above dessert because there were only 2 of us. While waiting for the food to be served, I took some snapshots from where I was seated.
Side wall.
Back wall. I was seated facing the back.
Behind me.
Floral enamel mug for holding cultery.
Since bubur cha cha was not available, I ordered sweet potato tong sui (sweet potato boiled in water with ginger and sugar added) - RM4.90
Hubby ordered iced lemon tea - RM4.90
Hubby ordered nasi lemak with fried chicken - RM12.90
Hubby enjoyed the nasi lemak and the fried chicken is nice too, not dry.
I didn't want rice, so I ordered fried beehoon with chicken curry - RM12.90
The fried beehoon looks plain but it was nice eaten with the sambal.
Thick and "lemak" chicken curry.
Total lunch = RM37.70
That evening, we had a late dinner at Cheong Kee Wan Tan Mee in Buntong.
We ordered 2 plates of wan tan noodle (dry version).
Dry version is served with some pork strips.
When eating wan tan mee, the pickled green chili is a must have item.
Wan tan (minced pork dumplings) in clear soup (this is plus size).
The dumplings have been reduced to almost half of its former size.
Oh, do not hold us guilty for our former sins!
Let your tenderhearted mercies meet our needs,
for we are brought low to the dust.
Help us, God of our salvation!
Help us for the honor of your name.
Oh, save us and forgive our sins.
Birthday Dinner At Dozo, De Garden, Ipoh
This is a special dinner to celebrate a birthday. No, no, not my birthday but a friend's birthday. This is my first visit to Dozo. This birthday was celebrated in the company of 4 people. I don't have the receipt with me and I can't remember the names of the food we had. The ordering of food was left to my friend.
 A bowl of fried rice
 Something with lots of cheese.
One piece for each person.
 A salad bowl. We enjoyed this salad very much.
 The salad consisted of ice or crystal vegetable which I love to eat.
 Saba fish
 Dumplings
 Cheesy pizza with crunchy fried rice base.
The above food was shared by 4 people.
Pink spider flowers or Cleome.
Every now and then a Cleome plant or two will sprout out from the ground in my garden and bless me with beautiful blooms.
Love and Truth meet in the street,
Right Living and Whole Living embrace and kiss!
Truth sprouts green from the ground,
Right Living pours down from the skies!
Oh yes! God gives Goodness and Beauty;
our land responds with Bounty and Blessing.
Right Living strides out before him,
and clears a path for his passage.
Lunch With Golden Girls At Lc N Ly Cafe, Ipoh.
Last Tuesday, 28th November was our Golden Girls' lunch gathering. Since we wanted to do some shopping at Aeon Big in Falim, we decided to have lunch at LC N LY Cafe, which is opposite Aeon Big. The previous time I was here was in January, 2015 which is coming to about 3 years. For the 4 of us, we ordered the following dishes to share.
We ordered this Smoked Duck meat on skewers with salad.
Grilled Chicken and Lamb with black pepper sauce.
The grilled lamb is sitting right on top of the grilled chicken.
Fried Udon noodle.
I think we ordered the Fried Rice with XO sauce.
We ordered the Shanghai dumplings.
We actually preferred the Fried dumplings.
It was a mistake on our part.
For drinks, we ordered 3 cups of hot lemon tea and I cup of iced coffee.
My sons slept in one that looked something like this.
Then I lay down and slept in peace and woke up safely,
for the Lord was watching over me.
Early Lunch And Cable Car Ride To Ngong Ping Village, Hong Kong
Hong Kong, Day 2 - Lunch & Cable Car Ride.
By now the rain has cleared and we were ready to visit Ngong Ping Village. The weather was gloomy with very light drizzle on and off.
Waiting at the MTR (mass transit railway) station.
Some of us were hungry and we decided to get an early lunch at Food Republic, an international food court.
Queuing up at food counters. The place was very packed. We managed to get a place for 10 of us.
Some kind of pan fried dumplings.
Steamed dumplings.
Mixed rice pot.
Noodles.
Braised tofu and egg, chicken rice.
A bowl of wanton in soup.
Tummies filled, we are ready for adventure.
Waiting for Pete to get the tickets.
Queuing up for the cable car ride to Ngong Ping Village.
All 10 of us in a cable car.
Took these photos from inside the cable car.
There was a slight drizzle.
This was my 2nd cable car ride.
The first was in Singapore many years ago.
At that time I was so afraid of heights, kept my eyes closed most of the time.
Here in Hong Kong, I had another breakthrough. I was able to enjoy the cable car ride! And I get to enjoy all these beautiful views!
From the rocky peaks I see them, from the heights I view them.
I see a people who live apart and
do not consider themselves one of the nations.
